AN ACTIVE LIFESTYLE IS IMPORTANT TO ME BECAUSE from early childhood I was used to moving, dancing, feeling my body... My long journey began with ballet school, where I studied for ten years, then there was modern choreography, sports aerobics, pool dance, hip-hop... And after the birth of my first baby, I I learned what strength training is in the gym, and received (apparently for the rest of my life) a new type of addiction - building a beautiful, healthy, harmonious body. I love sports, I love dance, I love movement! Without movement, I feel sad... Probably, in a past life I was a squirrel in a wheel :-) Naturally, my husband and I really want our boys to love sports from early childhood, so we try to be a positive example for them.

MY FIRST ACQUAINTANCE WITH SPORTS... If we talk about our first dance experience, it was a dance school in Serpukhov, where my parents and I stayed with relatives for some time. I was five years old and I tortured everyone around me with my uncontrollable desire to dance :-) Therefore, it was decided to enroll the restless child in a dance school as soon as possible! Well, upon returning to St. Petersburg, I entered the School of Russian Ballet at the Palace of Culture. Gorky and danced there safely for ten years. If we are talking about getting to know sports, then this historical moment happened much later. While studying in my first year at St. Petersburg State University, I was quietly stretching in the corner after a physical education lesson, and the coaches of the university’s sports aerobics team noticed me. They recruited me into the team, taught me all the intricacies of this sport and, thanks to them and my team, I received the title of Master of Masters after three years of intensive training.

BEST SPORTS ADVICE I'VE EVER BEEN GIVEN: “Those who want, look for opportunities; those who don’t want, look for reasons!” This advice, by the way, is perfectly applicable to other non-sports areas :-)

MY FAVORITE PART OF THE TRAINING IS, As a rule, the most difficult and energy-intensive part of it is the first, most difficult exercises after the warm-up.

DURING TRAINING I disconnect from reality and completely focus on the muscles I’m working on. Oh yes! And I listen to music ;-) I love Lady Waks podcasts.

MY PROGRESS... “I weighed a hundred kilograms, and then, lo and behold, I lost weight and began to weigh fifty”? No, such metamorphoses did not happen to me :-) I have always been in approximately the same weight category, but the quality of my body has changed enormously over the past year and a half. A balanced diet, the absence of bad habits and, of course, strength training had a very great effect on me. I'll say this. From a genetically flat-bottomed, thin-legged skinny guy, I have turned, I’m not afraid of this word, into an athlete - strong, fit, and moderately “low-fat.” Naturally, I still have something to work on, but how else? But the intermediate result makes me happy and motivates me to further work on myself.

MY PLANS AND DREAMS... I won’t talk about my dream, let it remain my little secret ;-) But I’ll be happy to share my plans. Next summer, my husband and I are planning to hold the Smolny Fitness Weekends, so beloved by St. Petersburg residents, in other cities! I would, of course, like to organize such meetings in all major cities of our country. In addition, we will continue to develop our online projects “I CAN” and #MadSushka, hold offline events, and also plan to relax (finally!) somewhere on the sea coast, and for dessert - organize a large family car rally countrywide.

I NEVER TRIED IT, BUT I WOULD REALLY WANT TO jump with a parachute, master acrobatics on canvases, return to dance classes (I especially miss contemporary), get on a motorcycle, plus martial arts, acrobatics, crossfit, snowboarding...

Dear those who comment on the book as “Nothing new.” Excuse me, but what new did you want to know? How to keep your butt off the chair and become a jock? Dear Vasya, he didn’t discover a new continent to expect something new in this book, and he didn’t position it that way at all. PP for TP is exactly what I want to think about, especially for TP like me, who don’t know what to do and what to grab hold of when you decide to change your life. Vasily speaks simply and clearly, with a moderate number of numbers and terms, about the basics, about the most basic thing that is known to any person who has been involved in sports for a long time. What if you don't study? If you just started, but the Internet is pure slag and you don’t know what to believe, but people... I have a friend with a physical education education, a friend who works in fitness and a marketer friend from Herbolife - she knows everything about the biochemistry of the body. And that's not counting the guys who are athletes. They all have a ton of knowledge, and I asked them a bunch of questions, but only one Vasya was able to clearly explain to me why cellulite doesn’t go away when I need to exercise, why I want to eat so badly, but the diet only makes it worse. And what is the nutritional balance in numbers and how to count calories. Maybe he lied about something, please, smart guys, refute it. Vasily Smolny, the creator of the “Mad Drying” project, an example of a correct lifestyle, was born in 1986 on February 13 in Tajikistan.

Vasily was not always a handsome, fit and pumped-up man. Before the creation of the “Mad Drying” project, he was a thin guy with long hair, who devoted his time to being a DJ.
