As I have just sadly seen from my own experience, it was impossible to destroy Caraffa in my “usual” way. So, I had to look for something else, but, unfortunately, I had almost no time for this.
I also thought about Girolamo all the time... He was always my warm protective “wall”, behind which I felt safe and protected... But now she was no more... And there was nothing to replace her. He took his first steps in his singing career in the late 1970s, working first in the popular VIA "Young Voices" (from which the hard rock group "Kruiz" was subsequently formed), and then in the VIA "Music".
During these years, she marries and performs under her husband's surname: Irina Malgina.
In 1977, as part of the VIA "Music", he took part in the production of Andrei Bogoslovsky's rock opera "Scarlet Sails", performing the part of Assol.
In the early 1980s, Irina Malgina performed a duet with singer Emin Babaev. The most popular compositions performed by them, “Leaf Fall Conjures”, “Carnival” and “City Flowers” are aired by all-Russian radio stations in the early 2000s. The song “Leaf Fall Conjures” is recorded on the disc “100 Best Retro Duets” of the “Names for All Seasons” series by Monolith Records.
In 1989, the singer's husband, Vladimir Malgin, decides on his wife's solo career and becomes her producer.
In search of an image, Nika performs with the apotheosis punk-rock group "NII Cosmetics". Then he launches a concert program in the form of a pop "sex bomb", recording a song with the same name, which immediately attracted the attention of the public and critics. The singer, shocking with an erotic show and an abundance of nude scenes in video clips (the first video filmed for the song "Rival", was banned from showing after the first broadcast), is becoming in demand.
Nika's debut magnetic album "Three Chrysanthemums" is released. The hit of the same name is widely promoted on television.
Under the new name, the singer made her debut in 1991 at the All-Russian Festival "Stars of Eros" with the solo program "Nika - Erotic Show". The image of the seductress was highly appreciated by the jury: the singer becomes the laureate of the festival, and her program is awarded the first prize.
In 1991, Vladimir Malgin created one of the first private recording studios in the country, NIKA. The whole studio was located in a small room rented in the house of the All-Union Society of the Blind in Bezbozhny Lane (later the studio would move to the Hunter's House at the Water Stadium). Masha Rasputina, Boris Moiseev, Sergey Penkin, Grigory Leps, Katya Lel and others recorded their first songs here. Then a magnetic album of the same name was released at the ZeKo Records studio.
Nika takes part in the First Russian Chanson Music Festival.
Since 1993, Nika has been actively touring abroad. The first trip was to the UAE with a concert program in English. This was followed by solo concerts in Canada, the USA and other countries.

Born June 8 in a musical family. From childhood she was fond of music and dancing. In 1995, Boris Yeltsin awarded Nika the honorary title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation. In the same year, the disc "How many years, how many winters" was released, which was a compilation of early albums. And almost at the same time a new release - "Land of Love". The disc turns out to be quite lyrical, melancholic, beautiful melodies in it prevail over danceable rhythms. Perhaps due to the complete absence of an advertising campaign, it went almost unnoticed. But the next one - "It's not my secret" - has already become a bestseller. The restrained energy of passion superimposed on the bosom rhythm and spectacular tone of the melodies, the hit songs and the singer's sensual, erotic and at the same time melancholy voice - all this, of course, was enough for the album to sell well.
"5 Minutes", "Paper Flowers" and, of course, the title number become hits. A video clip is being shot for the song “This is not my secret”, which is also very stylish, bright with energy and emotions. Not stopping there, Nika recorded a few more songs in the style of the last album in the early summer of 1998. However, they sound so far only in the concerts of the singer, who is now being invited on tour more and more often.
