In the Quran, which is holy book for all Muslims, it is said that if one prays to Allah every day, then it will surely be rewarded. Faith in this is so strong in the soul of every true believer that believers turn to Allah many times throughout the day, both in sorrow and in joy. Every Muslim believes that only Allah is able to protect him from any earthly evil.

The Qur'an says that the faithful should always praise and thank Allah every day.

Muslim prayers to Allah

There are a huge number of different Muslim prayers that are read in a variety of everyday situations. For example, there are special prayers that need to be read in the morning while dressing and vice versa, in evening time in the process of undressing. Be sure to read prayers before eating.

Every Muslim always reads a prayer when he puts on new clothes, and at the same time asks Allah to protect him from damage. In addition, the prayer mentions gratitude to the one who created the clothes, as well as the request of Allah to send him the highest blessings.

Be sure to use a prayer before the faithful leaves the house or in cases where you have to enter someone's house. In this way, honor and respect are expressed for the people whose house one has to visit.

Prayer "Kulhu Allah Ahad" in Arabic

The prayer “Kulhu Allah Ahad” is aimed at ensuring that a person can fulfill his own desires.

In Arabic, the text of the prayer reads as follows:

Lam yalid wa lam yulad

Wa lam yakun llahu, kufuvan ahad.”

It is believed that this appeal is more effective if it is pronounced in Arabic. It is imperative to take into account the fact that a believer who has a pure soul and sincere thoughts can read this prayer. Otherwise, Allah simply will not hear the request and will not help. You also need to know that this prayer is not pronounced on its own. It is important to understand the very essence of the ceremony. The person for whom the prayer is offered should sit on a chair, and the one who says the prayer puts his hands on his head.

After this, the words of the prayer are pronounced. For greater effectiveness, the rite is recommended to be carried out several days in a row.

Namaz is obligatory rite for any Muslim. He builds not only from prayers, but also from certain actions. Therefore, someone who has recently converted to Islam will need to make great efforts in order to master all the rules. Of course, at first it will be necessary to gradually study all the necessary prayers.

It sounds like this:

In addition, there is a very important prayer for beginners who are just getting acquainted with the rules of prayer.

After the obligatory prayers, the following prayer phrase should be said:

Prayer "Allah Akbar"

"Allah Akbar" translated from Arabic means great Lord. This phrase recognizes the power and power of the Almighty. In the Muslim religion, "Allah Akbar" is a formula for recognizing the Greatness of the Lord. This phrase emphasizes obedience to Allah, it is one of the phrases that reflect the true obedience to the Almighty, an oath of denial of other powers and dominions.

Every Muslim child understands what "Allah Akbar" means. This sacred phrase resounds on the lips of Muslims throughout their lives, and these words accompany all the deeds of the faithful. This phrase is always heard in Islamic prayers. It is treated as a separate prayer appeal.

It can be translated as follows:

It is incorrect to refer to this expression as a war cry. It is rather a reminder for the faithful that regardless of the situation, God is Great and omnipotent. It must be remembered that success and happiness for a Muslim comes from Allah, his whole life depends on him. The believer pronounces “Allah Akbar” when he is very frightened and after that his soul will surely calm down. Because he will remember that everything is in the hands of God. With the help of this phrase, you can also remove anger from the soul, calm down and prevent wrong actions. This prayer expression is also pronounced in moments of joy and success as a token of thanksgiving to God.

Sura Al Ikhlas (Sincerity)

Explanation of Surah Al-Ikhlas

The Almighty commanded to speak these words with firm confidence and absolute conviction in the truth of these words. And for this, a person must be aware of their true meaning. Allah is the only God. His beautiful names and attributes are perfect, His deeds are holy and flawless, and there is none like or like Him.

He is self-sufficient, and all the inhabitants of heaven and earth are in the highest degree in need of Him and pray for His help, because all His qualities are perfect. He is omniscient and His knowledge is unlimited. He is patient and His patience is endless. He is merciful, and His mercy encompasses all things. The same applies to all divine qualities.

The perfection of Allah is also manifested in the fact that He does not give birth and was not born, and therefore does not need anyone or anything. His names, qualities and deeds are superior to the names, qualities and deeds of creatures. He is great and all-good! From all that has been said, it follows that this sura entirely preaches the doctrine that only Allah has divine names and qualities.

Several semantic translations are possible: “I swear by the time interval that begins after the sun has shifted from its zenith and continues until sunset”; "I swear by the afternoon prayer."

That is, the slanderers plunged into "al-khutoma" will lose all hope of liberation, the gates of Hell will be tightly closed before them.

The Qur'anic surah tells of a historical event that took place in the year of the birth of the last messenger of the Lord Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and became a sign for people who understand.

By this time restored by the prophet Abraham ancient temple Monotheistic Kaaba (see: Holy Koran, 22:26, 29) was again turned by the Arabs into the main temple of their pagan pantheon. Mecca became the center of paganism, attracting pilgrims from all over the Arab East. This caused discontent of the rulers of neighboring states. Then the ruler of Yemen Abraha, in order to attract pilgrims, built a new temple, striking in its luxury and beauty. But the religious building could not become a center of pilgrimage for nomads, who still recognized only Mecca as such.

Once, a certain Bedouin-pagan, demonstrating his disrespect for the Yemeni temple, desecrated it. Upon learning of this, Abraha vowed to wipe the Kaaba off the face of the earth.

In the army equipped by him there were eight (according to other sources - twelve) elephants, which were supposed to destroy the Kaaba.

Approaching Mecca, the army of Abraha set up a camp for rest. Camels grazing in the vicinity immediately became the prey of the Yemenis. Among them were two hundred camels belonging to one of the most respected people of Mecca, ‘Abdul-Muttalib (the grandfather of the future Prophet).

In the meantime, Abraha ordered that the most respected Meccan be brought to him. The inhabitants pointed to ‘Abdul-Muttalib, who went to negotiate with Abraha. The dignity and nobility of ‘Abdul-Muttalib immediately inspired the ruler of Yemen with respect for him, and he invited the Meccan to sit next to him. "Do you have any request for me?" Abraha asked. “Yes,” said ‘Abdul-Muttalib. “I want to ask you to return my camels, which were taken away by your soldiers.” Abraha was surprised: “Seeing your noble face and courage, I sat down next to you. But when I heard you, I realized that you are a cowardly and selfish person. While I came with the intention of razing your shrine from the face of the earth, are you asking for some camels?!” “But I am only the owner of my camels, and the Lord Himself is the owner of the temple, He will save it ...” was the answer. Taking his herd, ‘Abdul-Muttalib returned to the city, abandoned by the inhabitants, who were unable to resist the huge army. Together with the people accompanying him, ‘Abdul-Muttalib prayed for a long time at the threshold of the Kaaba, offering a prayer for the salvation and preservation of the Lord’s temple, after which they left Mecca.

When Abraha's troops tried to storm the city, a miraculous sign happened: a flock of birds appeared and threw stones from burnt clay at the army. Abraha's army was destroyed. Defenseless Mecca and Kaaba were saved, for according to the plan of the Lord, a different fate was destined for them.

This story is a clear sign for those who have understanding.

See, for example: Ibn Kasir I. Tafsir al-kur'an al-'azim. T. 4. S. 584, 585.

The Lord is Almighty: He manifests His punishment through seemingly weak and defenseless creatures. So, for the refusal of the pharaoh to release Moses and his people for worship, one of the "executions of Egypt" was the invasion of toads, midges, "dog flies", locusts that flooded all of Egypt. The "plagues of Egypt," according to the Bible, forced the pharaoh to release the people of Israel from captivity (Ex. 8:10).

Hadiths on the virtue of reading Surah Al Ikhlas

The merits of reading Surah Al-Ikhlas cannot be counted. In a reliable hadith from Abu ad-Darda’, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) asks those around him: “Is not each of you able to read a third of the Qur'an in a night?” They asked in response: “How is that, O Messenger of Allah?” He told them: “Read Surah Al-Ikhlas! It is equal to one third of the Qur'an."

In a hadith from Anas ibn Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, it is said that a certain person said to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): “I really love this surah [“ Al-Ikhlas ”] (Quran, 112: 1 - 4 ). The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to him in response: “Your love for her will lead you to Paradise.”

In a hadith from Ubay ibn Ka'b, may Allah be pleased with him, it is said that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever reads Surah Al-Ikhlas once, he will receive from Allah Almighty as much reward as He gives to everyone who believes in Him, in His angels, holy books and messengers. A person who reads this surah will receive a reward equal to that given to those who fell on His path (martyrs). This is what is said in the book At-Tafsir al-Kabir.

In a hadith cited by Muslim and other muhaddis from Abu Hurairah, it is said that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Reading the Surah Al-Ikhlas is comparable to reading a third of the Qur'an.” This hadith is given in the book "Al-Lubab" and so it is said in the composition "Al-Itkan" from the words of a group of companions of the Prophet. In another transmission (riwaya) it is said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever sincerely and sincerely reads Surah Al-Ikhlas, the Almighty will protect him from the fiery Gehenna of Hell.”

Ahmad [ibn Hanbal] and Abu Dawud cited a hadith from Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, where it is reported that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “If anyone reads Surah Al-Ikhlas, then it will be counted as recitation of a third of the Quran.

In a hadith cited by Muslim with an adaptation from Mu'az ibn Jabal and Anas ibn Malik, may Allah be pleased with them, and mentioned by the author of the book "Khazinat al-asrar", it is said that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Who recites Surah Al-Ikhlas eleven times, Allah Almighty will build a house in Paradise for him. At-Tabarani and ad-Darami cited a hadith both from Abu Hurayrah and in another transmission (riwaya) from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib, may Allah be pleased with them, which says that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) told : "To the one who reads Surah Al-Ikhlas eleven times, Allah Almighty will build a palace in Paradise, to the one who reads it twenty times - two palaces, and to the one who reads it thirty times - three palaces." ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, exclaimed: “O Messenger of Allah, I swear by the Almighty, then we will multiply our palaces in Paradise.” Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said in response: “The mercy of Allah Almighty is more extensive than all this!” This is mentioned in At-Tafsir al-Hanafi and in Mishkat al-Masabih.

It is reported that 'Ali ibn Abi Talib, may Allah be pleased with him, said: “If someone reads the surah Al-Ikhlas eleven times after the completion of the morning prayer (salat al-fajr), then on that day he will not commit a single sin against all the efforts of Satan. This is how it is mentioned in the work "Rukh al-Bayan"

In a hadith cited by at-Tabarani from Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, it is said that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever reads the surah Al-Ikhlas twelve times, he will read the entire Qur'an four times and if he is still pious, then in that day he will become the best of all people on earth. This is how it is written in the work “Al-Itkan”.

152 of the book of Al-Khazina, the author writes: “Ibn Nasr cited a hadith from Anas ibn Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, who reported that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever reads Surah Al-Ikhlas fifty times Allah Almighty will forgive his sins for fifty years.

In a hadith cited by at-Tabarani from Jabir ibn 'Abdallah, may Allah be pleased with him, it is reported that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “If a believer reads Surah Al-Ikhlas fifty times every day, then on the Day of Resurrection, a voice from above will be heard over his grave: “Arise, O praiser of Allah, enter Paradise!”

Al-Bayhaqi and Ibn ‘Adi cited a hadith from Anas ibn Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, which says that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “If a person reads Surah Al-Ikhlas a hundred times, then Allah Almighty will forgive him the sins of fifty years, provided that he does not commit sins of four types: the sin of bloodshed, the sin of money-grubbing and hoarding, the sin of debauchery and the sin of drinking alcohol. This is how it is mentioned in Al-Jami' as-Saghir.

At-Tabarani and ad-Daylemi have a hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him): “Whoever reads Surah Al-Ikhlas a hundred times during prayer (salat) or at another time, he will be saved by Allah from the fire of Hell.”

If someone reads Surah Al-Ikhlas a hundred times, lying in bed before going to bed on the right side, then on the Day of Judgment, the Almighty will say to him: “O My servant! Enter on the right side into Paradise! This is how it is mentioned in Al-Itkan.

Al-In the hadith cited by at-Tirmidhi from Anas ibn Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, it is said that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “To everyone who reads Surah Al-Ikhlas two hundred times, Allah Almighty will read it is like the fulfillment of one thousand five hundred good deeds and will erase the sins of fifty years from his book, provided that he has no debt to people. Bayhaqi cited a hadith from Anas ibn Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, who said that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever reads Surah Al-Ikhlas two hundred times, the Almighty will forgive the sins of two hundred years.” Also, al-Bayhaqi and Ibn 'Adi cited a hadith from Anas ibn Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, which says that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever reads Surah Al-Ikhlas two hundred times daily, then it will be reckoned by Allah as the fulfillment of one thousand five hundred good deeds, provided that there is no debt on him.

In Al-Fawa'id al-Khariji, there is a hadith from Hudhayfa, may Allah be pleased with him, which says that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever reads Surah Al-Ikhlas a thousand times, he will redeem your soul with Allah Almighty. This is mentioned in Al-Jami' as-Saghir.

On page 153 of the book "Khazinat al-asrar" there is also a hadith: "Waqi' told him: Israel told him: Ibrahim told him: 'Abdallah al-A'la told him: Ibn Jubair told him: Ibn 'Abbas told him, yes Allah will be pleased with them that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Days and nights I felt anxiety for my community (ummah) of believers in One Allah, fearing that the punishment of Hell would befall it, until the angel Jibril appeared to me , peace be upon him, with the Surah Al-Ikhlas. Then I was convinced that Allah, after sending down this sura, would not punish my community (ummah), because this sura is directly related to Him. If someone is constant in reading this sura, then mercy will descend on him from heaven, and his soul will find peace and tranquility. He will be showered with the graces of Allah, from his recitation around ‘Arsh an echo will spread. And then Almighty Allah will mercifully look at him, forgive him his sins and will not punish him. After that, whatever this slave asks for, the Almighty Lord will grant him this and bring him under the shadow of His protection and care. From the day of reading this surah until the Day of Resurrection, the reader of it will get in abundance all the blessings of this and that world that Almighty Allah grants to His awliya 'and to all who submit to Him. The Almighty will give him countless gifts from his earthly lot, prolong his life and make it easier to bear the burden of worries. Allah will save him from death pangs and suffering, save him from punishment in the grave. This person will not know fear, from which all the servants of God will fall into a stupor. And when [on the Day of Resurrection] the bodies are put together, a horse of pure pearls will be brought to him. He will sit on it and go until he appears on it before Allah Almighty. And then the Almighty will graciously look at him and reward him with Paradise, where he can choose for himself the place he wants. Blessed is he who reads Surah Al-Ikhlas! After all, everyone who reads it, Allah will entrust the angels who will protect him from the front and back, will ask for forgiveness for him and write good deeds in his book until the very day of his death. These angels will plant according to the number of letters of Surah Al-Ikhlas that he recited, date palms one fars long, each of which will have thousands of stalks, and on each stalk there will be dates in a number comparable to the number of grains of sand in the desert ‘Alidj. Every date on those palm trees the size of a mountain top, sparkling with lightning, the brilliance of which illuminates the branches that reach from earth to heaven. These palm trees are of red gold, their dates are pure pearls, and their ornaments and robes are of different colors.

The Almighty will send thousands of angels to the one who reads Surah Al-Ikhlas, who will build cities and palaces for him and grow various trees around them, exuding fragrance and bending from fruits. Wherever he treads, the earth will rejoice in him. He will die having been forgiven of his sins. When he appears before Allah Almighty, He will say to him: “Rejoice! Let your eyes rejoice in everything that is given to you from My bounties!” The angels will marvel at his closeness to God and the honor given to him. Allah orders the Preserved Tablet (al-Lauh al-Mahfuz) to announce the reward granted to him for reading Surah Al-Ikhlas. She will read to him and all the inhabitants of heaven, amazed at her size, will exclaim: “Our Lord is pure from all that is not befitting Him! Is there such a reward in Paradise?” The Almighty will answer them: “I will prepare all this for My servant!” Try to always read this surah, for reading it will help you avoid hellfire! If someone reads this sura once, then seventy thousand angels will testify that he will be rewarded with Paradise. He will be rewarded for the labors of seven hundred thousand angels. Allah Almighty, knowing better about his needs, will say: “Find out what My servant needs, and give him what he wants!”

Everyone who constantly reads Surah Al-Ikhlas will be referred by the Almighty to the number of those who are successful, who rise to worship and observe fasting. When the Day of Resurrection comes, the angels will exclaim: “O Lord! This person loves your qualities!” The Almighty will say: “All of you must accompany him to Paradise!” And then all of them will lead him to Paradise as they lead the bride to the groom's house. When he enters Paradise, the angels, seeing all his palaces there and realizing how great the degree of rewards prepared for him, will exclaim: “O our Lord! Why is he higher in rank in front of You than those who were next to him and read the entire Qur'an? Allah Almighty will say in response: “I sent My messengers to the people with My books and explained to them what honor I will give to those who believe in Me, and what punishment I will inflict on those who did not believe in Me! I will reward everyone according to his deeds, except for those who read Surah Al-Ikhlas! After all, they loved to read it day and night, and therefore I preferred to raise them higher in degree in front of the rest of the inhabitants of Paradise. When the one who loved reading this Surah dies, Allah will ask: “Who else is able to fully bestow My servant, except Me? I own the full reward for him!” The Almighty will say: “My servant! Enter Paradise! I'm pleased with you!" As soon as he steps there, he will pronounce the words of the Almighty:) لى (فَنِعْمَ أَجْرُ الْعَامِلِينَ))سورة الزمر(74) Meaning: “Praise be to Allah, who kept His promise and gave us an inheritance heavenly land. We will settle (settle) in Paradise wherever we wish.” Goodness, the reward of those who do good deeds ”(Quran, 39:74).

For reading this sura five hundred times, Allah will forgive the sins of the reader himself, those who live with him in the same house and his future children. “Know that the best of both worlds lies in reading it. Only the happy ones will be constant in reading Surah Al-Ikhlas, and the unfortunate [those who have gone astray] will not be able to read it.” This is what Tafsir al-Hanafi says.

Say Allah is One, Allah is Self-sufficient

The Koran is an instruction for life, a true guide for all mankind until the end of time.

In the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of the Almighty be upon him), cited by ad-Daylemi, it says: “To the one who performs the morning prayer together with others, and then, sitting in the mihrab, reads the surah Al-Ikhlas a hundred times, everyone will be forgiven his sins, which are not directly related to people, and for which he will have to answer only to Allah Almighty. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever reads Surah Al-Ikhlas a thousand times, he will receive the good news that he will enter Paradise.” This is what Abu ‘Ubaidah said about it, may Allah be pleased with him! They say that if someone is worthy of reading this surah in a dream, then he will be rewarded with consolidation in Monotheism (tawhid), a small family, will be able to remember Allah a lot and his prayers will be heard.

The meaning and virtues of Surah Ikhlas

The scholar al-Hafiz Abu Muhammad ibn al-Hasan as-Samarkandi, may Allah be pleased with him, when considering the merits of Surah Al-Ikhlas, cited a hadith from Anas ibn Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, which says that the Messenger of Allah (peace be and blessing him) said: “If anyone reads Surah Al-Ikhlas once, he will be overshadowed by the grace of the Almighty. Whoever reads it twice, then he and his whole family will be under the shadow of grace. If someone reads it three times, then he himself, his family and his neighbors will receive grace from above. Whoever reads it twelve times, Allah will grant twelve palaces in Paradise. Whoever reads it twenty times, he [on the Day of Judgment] will walk with the prophets like this. (And the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) at the same time closed his index and middle fingers). Whoever reads it a hundred times, the Almighty will forgive all his sins of twenty-five years, except for the sin of bloodshed and the sin of non-repayment of debt. Whoever reads it two hundred times, the sins of fifty years will be forgiven. Anyone who reads this surah four hundred times will get a reward equal to the reward of four hundred martyrs who shed blood and whose horses were wounded in battle. Whoever reads Surah Al-Ikhlas a thousand times, he will not die without seeing his place in Paradise, or until he is shown it.

About Surah Sincerity

The book of Khazinat al-asrar mentions a hadith quoted by Ibn al-Najjar with an adaptation from 'Ali ibn Abu Talib, may Allah be pleased with him, which says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever wants to go on a trip, let take hold of the doorposts of his house and recite surah al-Ikhlas eleven times. And then he will be protected until his return home.

Ibn 'Adi and al-Bayhaqi cited a hadith from Anas ibn Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, who said that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: -Fatiha "and being in a state of ritual purity (tahara) required for the performance of the salat prayer, for each letter of the sura uttered, Allah will write down twenty good deeds, remove [from his book] ten bad deeds, raise ten degrees before Himself and build for him there are a hundred palaces in Paradise. His recitation will be equal to reciting the entire Qur'an thirty-three times. Reading this surah to him in such quantity will save him from the sin of associating partners with Allah (shirk) and will ensure the presence of angels next to him and the expulsion of shaitans from him. From the reading of the sura, an echo will be heard near ‘Arsh with a mention of the reader until the Almighty turns His gaze to him. And Allah never punishes the one whom He looked at with a merciful look. In the same place, [in the book "Khazinat al-asrar"] on page 158 it is said that al-Bayhaqi cites a hadith from Abu Amama al-Bahili, may Allah be pleased with him, who said that the angel Jibril, peace be upon him, appeared to the Messenger Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), who was [with an army] near Tabuk and turned to him with the words: “O Muhammad! Attend the funeral (al-janazah) of Mu'awiya ibn Mu'awiya al-Muzani! The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) went out and the angel Jibril descended along with seventy thousand other angels. The angel Jibril placed his right wing on the mountains and they sank low. He put the left wing on the ground and it rose so high that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) saw Mecca and Medina, may the Almighty bless them with His mercy until the Day of Judgment! The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), along with Jibril and the rest of the angels, performed a prayer for the deceased. After its completion, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked the angel Jibril: “O Jibril! How did Mu'awiya achieve such a high position? He replied: “Thanks to constant reading, standing, riding and on foot, Surah Al-Ikhlas: Meaning: “Say: He - Allah - is One.” This is how it is reported by al-Bayhaqi in the book Ad-dala'il. In the work of al-Kurtubi "At-tazkira" a hadith is given, which says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever reads Surah Al-Ikhlas three times during his dying illness, he will be delivered from grave torments and insured against compression. On the Day of Judgment, the angels will take them to Paradise in their arms, carrying them through the Sirat bridge. Al-Fawa'id also says about this: “The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “If anyone reads Surah Al-Ikhlas three times during his deathbed, he will die as a martyr.” Scientists believe that all those who died the death of martyrs will avoid questions in the graves (Munkir and Nakir), even if death did not immediately occur after reading this sura and the illness continued for a long time.

(44)

This is a Meccan sura, which consists of four verses.

بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ

قُلْ هُوَ (1
(2)
لَمْ يَلِدْ (3
(4

With the name of Allah, Merciful to everyone in this world, and only to those who believe in the next.

1. Say (O Prophet): “Verily, He, Allah, is One.
2. He is Self-sufficient (does not need anything or anyone).
3. Did not give birth and was not born.
4. And there is none equal to Him”
(Sura 110, verses 1-4).

Reasons for sending down a sura

Tirmidhi, Hakim and other scholars report that once the pagans of Mecca asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "O Muhammad, tell us about the origin (genealogy) of your Lord." And Allah sent down this Surah. Some commentators, on the contrary, believe that this question was asked by the Jews of Medina. Therefore, there is disagreement whether this sura is Meccan or Medinan. According to Abdullah ibn Masood, Hasan al-Basri, ‘Ata, Ikrimah and Jabir (may Allah be pleased with them) this is a Meccan sura, and according to the opinion of Qatadah, Dahhak (may Allah be pleased with them) and others, this is a Medinan sura. According to one report from Abdullah ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), this sura was sent down in Mecca, and according to another (his opinion) it is a Medina sura (Kurtubi).

According to another report, the pagans also asked if Allah was not made of gold, silver or other materials (like their idols), this surah was sent down in response.

The virtues of this sura

Imam Ahmad narrates in his Musnad that a man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and told him that he especially loved Sura Al-Ikhlyas. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) answered him: "Your love for her will lead you to Heaven"(Ibn Kathir).

Tirmidhi reports with reference to the authority of Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that one day the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) asked the people to gather and said to them: "Shall I read you a third of the Qur'an?" When the people had gathered, he recited Surah Al-Ikhlas to them and said: "It's the same as if I read you a third of the Quran"(Muslim).

In a long hadith from Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi and Nasai, it is narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever reads Surah Al-Ikhlas and Mu'awwazatein (the last two Surahs of the Qur'an) will be sufficient for him."

Another version of the hadith says: "That will be enough for him as a defense against all evil."

Imam Ahmad reports in his Musnad a message from Uqba ibn Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “I will show you three such surahs that were sent down in the Torah, Injil, Zabur and Koran. Don't fall asleep at night until you read them. This is Surah Al-Ikhlas and Mu’awwazatein.” Uqba ibn Amir also reports: “Since I heard this, I have never forgotten to read these surahs at night” (Ibn Kathir).

The Oneness of Allah

The first verse of the Surah says:

قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ

"Say: He, Allah, is One" (112, 1).

Imperative mood "cul"(say) addressed directly to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), thus showing that he is the Messenger and Prophet of Allah. This verse commands him to bring the Revelation of Allah to the people.

"Allah" is the personal name of the One Whose Being is obligatory and whose non-being is impossible (absurd). He (Allah) has all the qualities of perfection, and vice versa, is beyond all shortcomings. epithets "wahid" And "ahad" both belong to Allah and are usually translated as "One", however, the word "ahad" has an additional meaning, which implies that Allah is above any multiplicity, does not consist of parts, or is not similar to anyone. He has no companion or helper. This was the answer to everyone who asked if the Almighty was made of gold, silver or other material. This clear answer covers all aspects of the discussion about the Essence of Allah and His attributes. Looking deeper, this short statement can replace the detailed discussions found in multi-volume theological books.

Second verse:

اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ

“Allahu s-samad” - He is Self-sufficient, does not need anything .

Word " samad"can have several meanings, so the interpreters of the Qur'an understand this word in different ways. Al-Tabarani, the leading authority of the prophetic tradition, collected all these versions in his Kitab al-Sunnah, and confirmed that they are all authentic, however, initially this concept referred to the ruler who is above everything, to whom all people turn with their desires and needs, so that all people depend on him, but he does not need anyone ”(Ibn Kathir).

Allah is above having children and grandparents

Third verse:

لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ

“Lam yalid wa lam yulyad” (He did not give birth and was not born).

This verse was an answer to those who asked about the origin (lineage) of Allah. There is no resemblance between the Creator and His creatures. While His creations come into being as a result of biological processes, Allah did not come into being as a result of birth, and He Himself did not give birth to anyone.

Fourth verse:

وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ

“Wallam yakullahu kufuan ahad” (And there is no one equal to Him).

Word "kufuan" in the original it is used in the meaning of "example, sample", "similar thing". Thus, this verse means that in the whole universe there was not, and there is no being, which is like Allah or equal to Him in His essence, attributes or actions.

Sura al-Ikhlas is a comprehensive concept of the oneness of Allah and the negation of shirk

There are many different people who reject the Oneness of the Creator, ascribing partners or helpers to Him. Sura al-Ihlyas rejects all kinds of such false theories and teaches a comprehensive lesson of divine Oneness. Among non-believers, there are various groups: some deny the existence of God completely (atheists), others believe that the Almighty exists, but reject the doctrine of His obligatory existence. Some reject His qualities of perfection (for example, they do not believe that He is omniscient or powerful). Some groups of non-believers believe in multiple gods and goddesses (so-called polytheists). The first verse of the surah completely denies these false beliefs. The second verse denies the beliefs of those people who believe that someone else besides Allah can help in their needs - the attribute of Allah "al-Samad" is directed against such beliefs. The phrase "lam yalid" (did not give birth) is directed against those who believed that the Lord could have children.

And Allah, Holy and Great is He, knows best!

About Sura al-Ikhlas

Sura Al-Ikhlas was sent to Mecca. Consists of 4 verses. The sura was sent down in response to the question of the polytheists to the Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu "alayhi wa sallam):" What is your Lord made of?

The virtues of the sura are written in many hadiths. There are so many of them that it is impossible to describe in a few words. Below are some of the main virtues of Surah Ikhlas.

The most famous hadith says that the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu "alayhi wa sallam) asked the people:" Isn't each of you able to read a third of the Qur'an overnight? They asked in response: “How is that, O Messenger of Allah?” He told them: "Read the surah Al-Ikhlas! It is equal to a third of the Koran". Another says that the Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu "aleihi wa sallam) said:" If a believer every day fifty times will read the surah "Al-Ikhlas ", then on the Day of Resurrection a voice from above will be heard over his grave: "Arise, O praiser of Allah, enter Paradise!" “If a person reads Surah Al-Ikhlas a hundred times, then Almighty Allah will forgive him the sins of fifty years, provided that he does not commit four types of sins: the sin of bloodshed, the sin of acquisitiveness and hoarding, the sin of debauchery and the sin of drinking alcohol.” Download Ikhlas Surah.

The hadiths speak of a great reward for reading Surah Ikhlas. The size of the reward of Allah depends on the number of times the sura is read and the time. The following hadith indicates how great the dignity of Surah Ikhlas is - the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu "alayhi wa sallam) said:" If anyone reads Surah Al-Ikhlas once, he will be overshadowed by the grace of the Almighty. Whoever reads it twice, then he will be under the shadow of grace he himself and his whole family. If someone reads it three times, then he himself, his family and his neighbors will receive grace from above. Anyone who reads it twelve times, Allah will grant twelve palaces in Paradise. Whoever reads it twenty times, he [on the Day of Judgment] will walk with the prophets like this. (And the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) at the same time closed his index and middle fingers.) Whoever reads it a hundred times, the Almighty will forgive all his sins for twenty-five years, except for the sin of bloodshed and the sin of non-repayment of debt. Whoever reads it two hundred times, the sins of fifty years will be forgiven. Anyone who reads this sura four hundred times will get a reward equal to the reward of four hundred martyrs who shed blood and whose horses were wounded in battles. Whoever reads Surah Al-Ikhlas a thousand times, he will not die without seeing his place in Paradise, or until he is shown it. Download now Surah Ikhlas.

In another hadith, an instruction is given for those traveling or going on a trip to read Surah Al-Ikhlas 11 times, while holding on to the doorposts of their house, and nothing will happen to him and he will receive protection until he returns home. The sura is also read together with suras Al-Nas and Al-Falak three times, after which you need to blow either on yourself or the child in order to protect from the machinations of the shaitan. It is very useful to do this if the child is naughty, does not behave as usual (or, as we usually say, that he was jinxed), it is advisable to do this before bedtime. Praise be to Allah, the Supreme Lord, in whose hand is power over everything and to whom you will be returned!

The Koran, which is the holy book for all Muslims, says that if you pray to Allah every day, then it will certainly be rewarded. Faith in this is so strong in the soul of every true believer that believers turn to Allah many times throughout the day, both in sorrow and in joy. Every Muslim believes that only Allah is able to protect him from any earthly evil.

Thanksgiving and Praise to Allah in Daily Prayer

The Qur'an says that the faithful should always praise and thank Allah every day.

Daily prayer translated into Russian is as follows:

“I give praise and thanks to Allah, he is the very first and the very last, before and after him there is no one! I pray to Allah, whose thoughts are deep and omnipresent! Thanks to his power, he created everything around, breathed life into the created beings and directed them on the true path. He is omnipotent, when he directs us forward, then no one will lure us to another path, and when he returns us, then there is no force on earth that can force us to move forward. It determines the subsistence and wealth of all living beings, so no one can reduce the wealth of the one to whom it is given, or add to the property of the one to whom little is given.

It determines how long each person will live. And when the believer takes his last steps on earth, he will take him to himself and reward him, or throw him into the abyss of terrible punishment. Everyone will get what they deserve. He is Justice. Pure, undefiled, and infinite are His blessings! No one can call him to account, only everyone is accountable to him for what he has done.

Muslim prayers to Allah

There are a huge number of different Muslim prayers that are read in a variety of everyday situations. For example, there are special prayers that need to be read in the morning while dressing and vice versa, in the evening while undressing.

"Kulhu in Allah Ahad
Allahu Samad

Listen to the prayer "Kulhu Allah Ahad":

The text of the prayer "Kulhu Allah Ahad" in Russian

Despite the fact that the prayer "Kulhu Allah Ahad" is considered stronger in the original language, it is allowed to pronounce its words in Russian. There are several variations of this prayer.

For example, you can pray with the following words:

“In the name of Almighty Allah, I conjure you from any illness, from any evil look, from enemies and from any grief. From the eyes of the envious, the Great Allah will heal forever. In the name of Allah, I conjure you forever."

It is important to understand that this prayer does not carry a magical connotation, it contains a philosophical and religious grain. And this is exactly what the people participating in the ceremony should fully experience. It is important to sincerely believe that Allah will hear the prayer and will certainly reliably protect the person. But this is only possible if a person has a bright soul.

Namaz is a mandatory ritual for any Muslim. He builds not only from prayers, but also from certain actions. Therefore, someone who has recently converted to Islam will need to make great efforts in order to master all the rules. Of course, at first it will be necessary to gradually study all the necessary prayers.

But first of all, you should know that there is a single prayer that can be used at any time.

It sounds like this:

“O Great Allah! We believers cry out for Your help, we ask You to help us walk the right path, we ask You for forgiveness for all our wrong actions and sincerely repent. We believe in You and rely on You. We believers praise You with all our souls. We thank you and acknowledge all your power. We reject evil from ourselves and leave all those who commit lawless and unrighteous deeds. Oh my God! We are faithful, we worship You alone, we pray to You alone, and only before You do we bow to the ground. We believers strive for You with all our soul and thoughts. We believers hope for Your mercy and fear Your punishment. Let Your punishment befall the atheists!”

In addition, there is a very important prayer for beginners who are just getting acquainted with the rules of prayer.

After the obligatory prayers, the following prayer phrase should be said:

“O Allah, help me as a true believer to worthily mention You, worthily thank You and worship You properly.”

Prayer "Allah Akbar"

"Allah Akbar" in Arabic means - the great Lord.

“Thy will be done. Great Allah, not mine."
