Solar trail balaclava. One-day trip to the Rhinoceros through the Fig beach (Cape Aya, Balaklava)

Let me remind you that yesterday we left Balaklava and safely reached the Fig tract in the Cape Aya reserve.
The start of the journey is here: .
Today we are heading towards Laspi Bay. We continue our way over the sea, along the most beautiful path,
along the Great Sevastopol path.
The morning turned out to be overcast, but the plans of the fishermen were unshakable. The flotilla of boats moved out of Balaklava and smoothly
distributed along the coast. A ray of the sun as a sign from above, blessing for good deeds.
1.

The hum of motors is not the sound you expect to hear in the morning among the pines and junipers.
After a quick breakfast, we headed up the mountain.
Traces of fire are visible on the trunks of pine trees. how many years have passed, and the bark keeps burnt scars.
Red mackerel and some yellow plants reminded me of autumn. November.
2.

We went up to the spring. There are more foliage here, gold on blue.
We got water and were on our way.
To get to the Middle shelf, you need to climb up from the spring for about 2 minutes. Then there will be a turn to the right.
If you miss the turn, you can go to the pass. Then you have to go to the very top, gaining another 300-400 extra meters.
3.

The path of the Middle shelf is therefore the middle one because it goes under the upper tier of rocks. From it to the top of the rocks is about the same as to the sea.
After 10-15 minutes the trail goes to the rock. Wouldn't want to be here in the rain.
4.

The climb is worth the effort. Soon we will reach a beautiful viewpoint.
Ships the size of an error.
5.

You can see the entire coast with Balaklava Bay, capes Kaya-Bashi and Fiolent.
And with my careless finger at the lens))
6.

It's time for tea. Pleasure in a cube.
7.

The trail winds its way along the rocky ledge, sometimes checking the posts. Even in autumn, when the leaves cover the paths and it's easy to go astray,
vertical poles do not let you get lost. Thanks to the one who conceived and brought to life the idea of marking these 18 kilometers.
8.

We rest in the upper reaches of the Kazan-Dere beam. Rocks of the Kala-Fatlar ridge peep through the juniper. Up there military unit,
tower with the "eye of Sauron", shining all night.
9.

The path leads to the road, along which you need to climb higher, to the hay meadows.
Through the golden forest rustling to the light.
10.

In the clearing there is a huge oak and thickets of blackberries. Pear and apple trees grow along the edges.
11.

We have lunch in the glades and go to the most beautiful point of the trail - to the top of Mount Kokiya-Kaya, 558 m high.
Old abandoned caponiers live out their lives. Once a military unit was located here, the remains of buildings are still visible today.
How many times have we spent the night here, enjoying the views, exposing our faces to the incredible Crimean winds...
A strip of coast is visible from the cliff - this is the Lost World beach. Now it is closed. Nature must recover from the anthropogenic load.
In the season there is a forest guard post on the shore. At one time, even kayakers were driven, approaching the forbidden shores to rest.
12.

The next point in 25 minutes is Mount Kush-Kaya, or bird rock. The trail winds its way through a forest pitted with wild boars.
It's evening. Plans to reach this rock and spend the night.
13.

The large wooded area of Cape Aya is surrounded by a high fence. According to the plan, wild boars should breed in the reserve,
deer and other animals. And do not leave the permitted limits. For the passage of people, gates and signs are installed with a request to lead
themselves as people.
14.

We set up camp on Kush-Kai and went to the Demir-Kapu-Chokrak spring for water. The journey took 30 minutes and ... was not crowned with success.
The spring was dry. Nothing to do, had to be content with the meager remnants of water.
We woke up in a cloud that caught on the top of the Bird Rock. And we went to a spring in the Laspinskaya basin under the Ajer-Kanat ridge.
In fact, we spent the night in that cloud.
15.

We had to suffer without water, but how we rejoiced at the spring!

I'll tell you about it next time.

Tourist route Balaklava-Laspi begins with a visit to the Genoese fortress Cembalo, located in Balaklava. On the first day, tourists spend the night in the reserved tract Ayazma, located on a wild beach. Further, the journey continues to the city of Kokiya-Kaya along narrow paths wildlife. A very beautiful view opens from the top of Mount Kush-Kaya. Of course, there are various options for passing the route, depending on the experience and physical fitness of tourists.

Throughout the route there are information posts with signs.

Travel conditions in Crimea

Balaklava-Laspi route is excellent hiking, for which it is necessary to prepare personal items and equipment, so assembling a backpack will become a necessity. During the trip, tourists will have to spend the night in tents, cook food on a fire and take water procedures in extreme conditions. If you take only the essentials for a hike, then on average the weight of a men's backpack is about 18 kg, and a women's one up to 12 kg. It is possible to overcome the route during the day - for experienced tourists. Here you can see other mountain tourist routes.

If the weather is bad and unforeseen situations, for example, a forester's ban, fire or flood, then the route of the hike may change slightly. To go on such an exciting journey, you need to contact a special agency that provides such services. You can also organize the passage yourself. Tourists can usually rent equipment and everything necessary for a full trip on the spot. One of the route options is described below.

Route by day

The first day. The tourist route begins with a visit to the temple of St. Elijah, then goes Mount Kush-Kaya, Kokiya Kaya and moves to Cape Aya, the road ends with the tract Ayazma. The total journey is 7 km. Departure starts early in the morning and runs through reserved paths forests that were laid by the ancient Roman legions, heading to the peaks of Mount Kush Kaya.

Here you can see the ancient ruins of the temple of St. Elijah, from where a beautiful view of the Laspi bay and the surrounding picturesque places opens. Moving further, the path will lead to an ancient ruined fortress, located on the top of Mount Kokiya Kaya. If you look closely, then from the top of the mountain you can see the place where the famous film "Savages" was filmed. However, this beach is not accessible to tourists. In this place you can set up camp and relax after a long journey.

Second day. The route is laid to the Fig beach, which will be 7 km. The road passes along a beautiful but dangerous path, as it goes along a cliff, leading tourists to the Ayazma tract. At the end there is an exit to the sea. Here you need to be as careful as possible, contemplating the surrounding nature. The overnight stay of the second day usually takes place on the seashore, next to a pine forest. Here you can have a good rest and gain strength on the third day of the trip.

The third day. The hike on the third day will be 8 km, and it starts with a hike along the Asceti cliff, which is sheer and rather dangerous, and then there is a long descent to Balaklava. If you want to ride a boat and appreciate the beauty of the local nature, then here you can rent a boat and take a trip by the sea. Only from a boat you can see the lost world, where there are a lot of wild beaches and grottoes that cannot be seen from land. The further route continues along the paths leading to the Cembalo fortress. Along the way, a view of the water area of Balaklava Bay, which was previously classified, will open. Only here you can see old submarines and a lot of pleasure yachts and boats, which are visible against the blue background of the sea.

The final place of this fascinating tourist trip is the Balaklava embankment. From this place you can visit the submarine base itself, which was located in the center of the mountain. Moreover, in the mountain there is an opportunity to visit the museum, for which groups of tourists are recruited every hour. If you wish, you can go directly from here by minibus to the Simferopol railway station. This journey ends, but the emotions will remain for a long time. Everyone who has been here dreams of visiting the Crimea again and walking along all its reserved paths and ancient places.

The idea of the organizers of the Great Sevastopol Ecological Tourist Trail deserves the attention and respect of the entire walking population of our city and guests. It should stretch for tens of kilometers and lure all hikers to specific trails and roads. And it means to reduce anthropogenic load on wild forest. For the recreational attractiveness of the city - it is very important. The idea didn't come out of nowhere. Rather, it can be called a modernization in a modern way of the program for the creation and operation of marked trails of the All-Union routes, which were so popular at the end of the last century. Those routes were numbered in guidebooks and marked with paint on tree trunks and on stones and rocks. One of the last man-made, regulated and controlled trails was created by the staff of the Leskhoz in the nineties. It ran from the second cordon of the Mekenzievskoe forestry right up to Laspi Bay. And the parking lots were equipped. Organizers and tents with mattresses were imported, both food and firewood. In the student environment, such low-cost tourism immediately gained a lot of fans. But ... other times have come.

Started in 2015 intensive work on the creation of a new trail, multi-stage, with “improved” parameters. Foresters, climbers of the Sevastopol federation, employees of the emergency rescue service in the highlands actively joined the work. They installed dozens of poles with indicators of directions, distances and names of objects on the trail. One of the sections of the Great Trail was also of interest to the film crew of the Crimean Route program of the Sevastopol Information Channel television company. Cameraman Dilyaver Medzhitov and director Alexander Makarov went on a one-day expedition from the top of Mount Kush-Kai to Balaklava. The author of these lines, the host of the Crimean Route program, undertook to act as a guide.

Our trinity set off on a journey early in the morning and only by 18 o'clock in the evening set foot on the Balaklava embankment. Even with all the stops for filming, the journey took about ten hours. We offer a brief account of our journey.

The top of Kush-Kai rises 663 meters above the sea. You can climb it from the Laspinsky pass. The trail starts next to the barrier at the entrance to the old Batiliman road. Marking poles are brought up to the top. At the top there is a pillar at number 37. So, another 36 is to be found. From the top, the trail goes west to Cape Aya. On the first meters of the path, you need to open the gate in the fence of the enclosure and enter it. The trail winds along rocky cliffs among wild boars. Roots and bulbs roll on the surface. It is possible that this company of ours has scared off the breakfast pigs. Peonies and some strange flowers are blooming. The path leads to the cape to the abandoned position of the radar observation post. From here, data on ships and ships in the Black Sea were sent to the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet. Target designations could, if necessary, directly go to Sotka to coastal defense missilemen. The positions of the two divisions of the regiment in the mountains above Balaklava are in direct line of sight. From the top of Cape Aya, the sea can be viewed visually from Cape Sarych to the Chersonese lighthouse. From the military camp there were ruins of residential and outbuildings, caponiers for radar machines, pools for water. Directly below us is a cozy beach and a grove of the Lost World. Climbers use the fault in this wall to descend to and from the beach. Simple mortals can only get to the Lost World by sea.

Further, marking posts lead along the forest road to the northeast to an artificial drinker. Judging by the footprints in the forest, wild boars and roe deer go here to drink. There is a spring nearby. A little higher, the hiking trail is lost in the web of animal trails. We need to look for its continuation in the northwest direction. In the direction of the Kazan-Dere ravine. We do not recommend going down to the sea. The passage along the coast is very problematic and dangerous. Only swim. There is a shady clearing in the forest with an old fire pit and a marking post. Comfortable spot for a break and a snack. The presence of a huge steel wheel in the clearing speaks of the children's pranks of the sailors military service in a missile regiment in the 80s of the last century. The extra wheel was rolled from the top of the rocky ridge, behind which the position of the division lurked. The wheel did not reach the sea, it fell in a clearing.
Here the trail comes close to the Sleeping Beauty Rocks. Every 50-100 meters, descents and ascents alternate. The trail repeats all the curves of the terrain, running out onto the ridges, climbing into gullies and into small gorges. The trail is not cultivated and has a clear slope towards the sea. You have to be careful. Here we met a blooming yellow tulip. We missed each other with a group coming from Balaklava along the same path. Plus or minus 100 meters is the middle of the route. And here is the treasured gate at the exit from the aviary. It turns out that our entire path ran through a high-fenced cage for wild boars and deer. Previously, a strong lock hung on the gate. Tourists had to cut through the steel mesh over the gate. Now there is no castle. The gate is spring-loaded and closes itself after the travelers.

We offer our own version of the appearance of the name of the cape we passed. Sashu was a little behind us in the process of photographing flowers. Seeing a closed gate and a high fence, he exclaimed: “And me? And I! And what about me? Open!" This is how the name of Cape Aya came about.
The trail continues to wind up the slope. There is a section of a rocky outcrop where you need to show elementary climbing skills. It is desirable to insure children and women.
Legs carry faster and faster. Somewhere nearby is a spring. We are already above the tract Figs, under the pass from the village of Reserve. We heard the spring before we saw it. But not by the murmur of water, but by the conversations of travelers who quench their thirst. This is the second real spring along the way. And it is in demand at any time of the year. There is much less water in it than in previous years. Her underground ways are inscrutable. In the summer you have to stand in line to fill your flask. There are benches near the spring. Here you can relax before the final spurt, eat an apple or a candy. Once it was possible to drive to the spring by car. Now the road has gone down along with the landslide. In 1987, there was a big fire on Fig in early September. Thousands of trees have died. Stankevich's pine, oak, juniper, small-fruited strawberry. The forest burned out and the slope was exposed. Then landslide processes became more active. Attempts to sow pine seeds and plant seedlings did not give a tangible result. Moistened by underground streams, the slope continues to creep. Today the trail passes through these landslides. Already on the forest road we notice the first bags of garbage. Further, there are more and more of them. In every field. under every bush. But there are no parking lots. Who and why brought them here, why weren't they delivered to the "mainland"? So far there is no answer.
We go out onto a steep dirt road leading from Fig to the village of Oboronnoe. We reach the marking post and turn onto Balaklava. The road leads to the South Fort, more popularly known as the Cask of Death. And then - only down to the very embankment of Balaklava. That's all! We walked along the pillars 16 kilometers from the top of Kush-Kai. Well, another couple of kilometers we watched through the forest near the animal drinker. For 7 hours it is quite possible to manage, knowing all the turns and landmarks. The route can and should be recommended to everyone. But taking into account light time and physical fitness. Good luck!

Vladimir Illarionov

There are many scenic hiking trails in Crimea. Some trails run along the slopes of ancient volcanoes, others are at the very edge of the sea, and still others lead to the peaks of the peninsula. The Crimean mountains are densely dotted with paths, but among all the variety there are special routes - such roads that combine hundreds of sights and wonders of nature, such emotions for which you can come from the other side of the world. And if in Turkey the most famous hiking route is the Lycian trail, and in Europe - Santiago de Compostela, then in the Crimea - the Great Sevastopol trail.

The Great Sevastopol Trail was founded in 2015. And to be more precise, it existed before, and in the 15th year they simply combined many routes into one, after which a tourist attraction 130 km long appeared. The trail starts in Balaklava and ends in Lyubimovka. The path lies through forests and mountains, passes and gorges, runs along the Black Sea coast, forcing you to walk along wide roads and winding along narrow paths, revealing amazing pictures and showing historical monuments.

The total length of the route is more than 100 kilometers, which cannot be covered in one day. To walk along the trail, you can choose one of its sections or take a tent with you. In total, the Great Sevastopol Trail is divided into eight segments:

  1. Balaklava - Laspinsky pass (18 km).
  2. Laspi Pass - Baidar Gate Pass (11 km).
  3. Baydarsky Gate Pass - tourist camp "Uzundzha" (23 km).
  4. "Uzundzha" - the village of Peredovoye (15 km).
  5. S. Peredovoe - tourist camp "Mountainous" (13.3 km).
  6. "Mountainous" - tourist camp "2nd cordon" (14.4 km).
  7. "2nd cordon" - the tract Gorny Klyuch (11 km).
  8. The tract Gorny Klyuch - Lyubimovka (12 km).

From Balaklava to Laspi pass

The trail starts at the ruins of a medieval fortress and ends at one of the most picturesque viewing platforms of the peninsula - Laspi. Along the route, there are Figs beach, Cape Aya itself and magical pictures of the Crimean coast.

The route is quite easy, but in summer you need to take plenty of water with you, as there is only one spring along the way. And besides this, it is important to know that the trail passes through the reserve, so do not be surprised to meet deer, roe deer or wild boars.

From the Laspi Pass to the Baydar Gates

This section is considered easier than the route described above. It runs almost through open areas at an altitude of up to 660 m above sea level.

From above, dizzying views of Foros open up, and along the way you can admire the most beautiful, located on the cliff of the Red Rock. In addition, the trail goes to the observation deck, and then to - one of the most mysterious places on the peninsula.

From the Baydar Gates to the tourist camp "Uzundzha"

This is the longest and most beautiful section, which runs along the slopes and the top of the Ai-Petri Yayla at an altitude of up to 900 m above sea level. The path passes through the Karadag forest with its lakes, the ancient mountain, and also goes to one of the most beautiful caves of Taurida - to.

The travel time of the route is up to 10 hours.

From t / s "Uzundzha" to the village. advanced

The route passes through the Baidarskaya Dolina nature reserve with the Chernorechensky reservoir in the center. On the way, mountain ranges, juniper forests, picturesque gorges, descents and ascents, forest paths and refreshing river flows await. IN spring period here you can observe the wonderful waterfall "Kozyrek". And one of the most unusual sights on the route are the Taurus boxes - stone tombs of the ancient people of the Taurus.

The travel time of the route is up to 8 hours.

From Peredovoe to t / s "Mountainous"

The trail is interesting in that it passes through a mountain beech forest, climbs smoothly, leads to waterfalls, cold springs and baths, and branches of trees shelter from the wind or summer heat.

The route time is up to 5 hours.

From t/s "Mountainous" to t/s 2nd cordon"

This segment of the Great Sevastopol Trail passes through two ancient cave monasteries: Shuldan and Chelter-Marmara. Picturesque scenes from rocky slopes to spacious plains await on the way. The vegetation here is not particularly lush, mostly drought-resistant plants are found, but it offers a view of the entire southwestern Crimea and Sevastopol.

The route time is up to 7 hours.

From the 2nd cordon to the Mountain Key

This route is not distinguished by difficult sections and passes through an oak-hornbeam forest. In spring, wild peonies, fragrant lilies of the valley, amazing orchids bloom here, and in summer you can come across fruit and berry trees - dogwood, barberry, wild pear and cherry.

Along the way, you can find ancient Taurus boxes, and if you turn a little to the side, you will come to the cave cities of Kalamita and Eski-Kermen.

The route time is up to 5 hours.

From the Mountain Key to Lyubimovka

This route is considered the easiest section of the Great Sevastopol Trail. It originates in the Nakhimovsky district of Sevastopol, stretches along the beaches, goes into the valley of the Belbek River, revealing steppe expanses and orchards. Among the attractions are the fortification of the 30th coastal battery, monuments to soldiers, obelisks, ruins of ancient structures and observation platforms.

The route time is up to 5 hours.

A little more about the Great Sevastopol Trail

In addition, to walk along the main part of the Great Sevastopol Trail, you can explore its auxiliary routes and return to the desired direction. The entire trail is completely free to visit, and many of the dangerous sections are equipped with auxiliary ropes and steps. Good luck!

Write your comments with your impressions of the passage of the trail!

Exit to starting position

The walk from the Laspinsky pass to Balaklava will take 7-8 hours for a group of average fitness. Athletes walk the route in 3 hours, run - in 2. Our goal for this exit was simple - to admire the views, shoot a video and take a couple of dozen photos. And so we increased the margin of time a little. At 7 o'clock we were already on the trail. You can get to the Laspinsky Pass by regular buses from the bus station of Sevastopol, heading to Alushta, Yalta and Foros. You can also take suburban buses from the bus station at the 5th kilometer of the Balaklava highway to the turn to Orlinoe and Rear, and then go south along the highway for a kilometer. From the pass, the old road to Batiliman used to go down in a serpentine. Now it has been demolished by landslides and covered with rockfalls. But the barrier has been preserved. Here from it begins the ascent to the top of Mount Kush-Kaya (Bird's Rock).

This is the highest point of today's route and a path under the canopy of the forest leads to it. At first, the path is almost horizontal, as if giving the traveler the opportunity to warm up after an early awakening. But then it gets tougher. Forest peonies bloom on both sides of the trail. Glades of peonies are visible in the gap of trees. Downy oak, hornbeam, dogwood prevail here. Miraculously preserved juniper specimens. It has been mercilessly cut down by poachers over the past 30 years, taken to underground workshops for the production of souvenirs for the amusement of tourists. For years, the tops and branches of felled trees lay strewn along the trail, abandoned by commercial timber miners. Now these heaps are gone, but hemp can still be seen. When admiring flowers and trying to photograph them, it is worth remembering the danger lurking from outside beautiful flower burning bushes or ash. A burn can be obtained not only from direct contact with the flower, but also from the fragrance surrounding the flower. Scars from these flowers persist for years.

The trail from Laspi to Balaklava has always existed. There were different versions of it. But recently the organizers of the Great Sevastopol Trail have established wooden poles with information boards. A very useful innovation indicates the location of the traveler and the prospect of his movement in one direction or another. There are even coordinates for calling a rescue team in case of emergency. But the numbers of the pillars do not match the numbers indicated on the BST website (perhaps on one of the sites). But this is not important, since some of the pillars even have proper names at the place of installation. Each new pillar on the way strengthens the traveler's faith in himself and confirms the correctness of the chosen direction.

Information stand on the rock

After 20-30 minutes the trail steeply rushes up. This is where trekking poles are very useful, as additional points of support. After rain, the clay on the slope gets wet and becomes very slippery. The roots of the trees create the appearance of reliable steps, but you should not rely on them either. As soon as the rocks appear to the right of the path, wait for the blue sky in the gaps between the trees and the path to flatten. The steepest part of the route has been completed. You are already on the shoulder of the Kokiya-Bel ridge. There are several viewing platforms overlooking the Laspinskaya Bay and Cape Sarych. In the northeast, the Chernorechenskoye reservoir and the entire Baydarskaya valley are read. To the right - the majestic massif of Mount Ilyas-Kaya and the fingers of the Temple of the Sun. If you turn to the west, then your eyes will rest on a solid steel mesh of a 3-meter fence. Bright, cheerful signs hospitably invite you to visit the enclosure, admire the deer, wild boars. We pass along this endless fence to the top of Kush-Kai.

Fence on Kush-kai

In the forest we meet the ruins of a stone structure. This is all that remains of an observation post built at the beginning of the 20th century and blown up in 1942. Local historians came up with a beautiful legend about the cult nature of the building and even called these ruins the remains of the temple of Elijah, installed a wooden cross made of branches. At the foot of the cross in a niche are several icons, candle ends, and small coins. A reinforced concrete storage tank for water has been preserved. And there is water in it, but the presence of a large amount of garbage makes this water a haven for mosquitoes and midges. Not suitable for drinking.

At the spring

On bird rock

The top of Kush-Kai has a dome-shaped slope going to the east. This is a traditional meeting place for climbing groups who have climbed the Kush-Kai wall. A rescue squad is also based here during emergency transportation operations. The triangulation sign was cut off for scrap a long time ago. But there is a wooden Orthodox worship cross. Below you can clearly see the recreation center "Batiliman", submariners, trolleybus management, a little to the right - the former CO "Aya", built by the Ministry of Road Construction of the USSR and subsequently transferred for the rehabilitation of Chernobyl victims. IN last years under Ukraine, the family of President Yanukovych fell in love with this paradise, surrounded it with a tall stone fence, destroyed the old building of the health resort, and began to build new palace. The passage to this territory is now closed, but construction work is ongoing.

West gate of the enclosure

Time to go! A few meters from the top, there is a gate in the fence of the enclosure. We boldly enter the corral and along a well-trodden path we rush to the west to the top of Cape Aya. Again we meet peonies and ash-tree. They will bloom until mid-June, depending on the weather. The forest along the trail is riddled with wild boars. But this beast is nocturnal, and meeting him on the trail during the day is a great success. Please note that the mother of little piglets does not really welcome such meetings, do not look for adventures on your body parts.

Here, on the very edge of the rocky cape, there was a radar observation post of the Black Sea Fleet. Information about the ships was transmitted to the fleet headquarters. If necessary, target designations could also be transmitted directly to the Sotka missile battalions. Military town for a long time, even under Soviet power, has been dismantled. Covered carports and the walls of some buildings remain. From the viewpoint of the cape you can admire Sevastopol and Balaklava, capes Feolent and Khersones. In the north, the rocks of the Kokiya-Bel massif stand as a wall. It is under their foundation that our path goes. These rocks from Balaklava are not visible, but they merge into one line with the contour of the Sleeping Beauty. In the forest thicket at the intersection of trails there is an artificial drinking bowl. The water is brown from the infusion of leaves and clay. But traces of a wild boar are present here too. We meet the first groups of tourists who left Balaklava the day before. They spend the night in the woods in a paddock and after a late rise they go to Laspi. Groups of 20-25 people. One group is from Moscow, the other is a hodgepodge from all the cities of Crimea. Everyone is happy with the trip, smiling, admiring the beauties, willingly giving interviews on camera.

Staples-steps and cable on the trail

goat trails

The path winds through the forest, dark and damp. We are overtaken by several single tourists who left the Laspinsky pass later than us. Their pace is high, and they know this path well. We pass another reservoir and approach the middle of the route. 9 km left behind. This item is called "Circles". But there is no romance in the name - there is a wheel of a cable mechanism in the clearing. Apparently, sometime during the construction of the upper missile division, a roller from an excavator remained superfluous. Here are his naughty sailors and rolled down the cliff. The glade is beautiful, tents for 10-15, quite suitable for spending the night. But a mountain of garbage, plastic, vodka bottles has accumulated near the fire. We take some rubbish with us. There are 9 kilometers left to Balaklava. Now we can say that the road is over, the goat trail begins. It flies up steeply, descends, winds among the rocks and gullies. It seems that one more turn and we are at the goal. And the goal is the spring of Ayazma. We meet a large number of tourists already today's hike. There are hammered steel anchors, steps and a cable on the rock. Pretty comfortable and safe. The sun is already hot, and the area is open. Hats are not at all useless. And the long sleeves of the T-shirt do not interfere. We see a group of people in short shorts, sandals and with a naked torso. By the bright raspberry color of the skin, we understand that the guests of the city are very greedy for a free tan. How many burn creams they will have to rub in is unknown. Just in case, they showed them an ash tree, explained what kind of flower it was growing on the path. Obviously puzzled guests. They did not expect such a trick. Another hour of travel, and the descent to the spring begins. Here both the cable and the steps are extremely necessary. They are installed with skill. Now both old people and children can move relatively safely here.
