I love dancing and singing, so as a child I dreamed of becoming a singer and composer who touches people's hearts with my songs and melodies. Personal life
-Who was your first love?
- I met my first love in middle school and stayed with her until high school. I don’t remember exactly how long we were together, but long enough. Of course, we got separated a couple of times during the process. When I meet a girl, I date her for a long time rather than being in a relationship for a month or a year.
- How did it happen that you behave very naturally with women?
- Probably, having a sister who is 10 years older than you helps a lot. It's common for both women and men to feel awkward when they're in the same room together for the first time. I think guys should be men and start the conversation first. When I filmed the kiss scene with Hye Ri (Park Bo Gum's "Reply 1988" co-star), I was very nervous because it was the first televised kiss for both of us. I was shy too, but I pretended everything was fine to make Hye Ri feel comfortable."
This is interesting

The actor’s parents are Christians by religion, so when the boy was born, he was immediately taken to church and given the name Bo Gum, which means “precious word,” so Bo Gum is a Christian and voluntarily plays the piano in his church.

The couple attracted the attention of viewers thanks to the “natural chemistry” and vocal abilities of both participants: together with co-host Park Bogum, they participated in special performances. The press called this duet the best in the entire 18-year history of the show. In addition, the actor was awarded the Best Debut Award at the KBS Entertainment Awards for his work in Music Bank.
- despite the terrible tragedy in the actor’s family, the guy did not stop believing that every day is a gift of fate and should be appreciated, be it good or bad.
- Bo Gum cannot be enraged. He remains as calm and reasonable at 200%. Many female fans believe that it is Park Bo Gum - ideal man for relationships.

Both of them lost their mother’s love and care in childhood, they drive poorly, don’t swear, don’t drink alcohol, and love all the people around them. Maybe that's why the actor played his character so brilliantly?
- doesn't like coffee and hates picking up and taking out trash.
- does yoga and Pilates on his own.
- is one of the "best selling faces" South Korea, due to the fact that it has a very wide audience - its fans range from 10 to 80 years old

Park Bo Gum is a South Korean actor. Born June 16, 1993 in South Korea. He made his debut in 2011 with the film "Blind". He gained fame thanks to such projects as “Nodame Cantabile”, “Chinatown”, “I Remember You” and “Return to 1988”.

Park Bogum is a South Korean actor, TV presenter and model born on June 16, 1993 in Seoul. His name translates from Chinese as “precious sword,” which has been interpreted as “a weapon used for good.”

The artist grew up in the company of his sister and brother, 11 and 9 years older than him, respectively, and was quite close to them. Thanks to warm relationships with relatives, God believes that people should spend as much time as possible with their family.

When Boghom was in the fourth grade of elementary school, his mother died. To this day he regrets that they do not have a single thing in common. family photography. “I thought there should be a big family portrait hanging on the wall, but we didn’t have one like that. I can't see my parents young. They always photographed only me, but we never took a family photo together,” the actor said on the show “Youth Over Flowers: Africa.”

WITH early childhood Park Bogum dreamed of becoming a musician. At the age of five, the boy began to learn to play the piano. Almost every week he gave “mini-concerts” at the local Catholic church along with the children’s choir, which he continues to do today. Having become a little older, the guy set himself the goal of becoming famous composer and seriously study music.

In his senior year, Park Bogom sent a recording of his own song to all major agencies in South Korea. From several offers, he chose an internship as a soloist at Sidus HQ, which also works with actors. Later, the young man said that he chose this particular label for two reasons: firstly, they responded to him before the others, and secondly, he hoped to become their representative in the music field.

During an internship at Sidus HQ, teachers noticed that Bogom had potential for acting and suggested that he change his training profile. Although the guy initially did not plan to become an actor, he agreed. And a few months later he debuted on the big screens. This happened in 2011. Park Bogum played a cameo role in director Ahn Sang-hoon's action-packed thriller “Blind”: he played the main character's younger brother, who died in a car accident. Although the film was very popular in South Korea, Bogue’s supporting role did not bring him much fame.

In 2012, Park Bogum was very lucky. Thanks to his older colleague, actor Cha Tae-hyun, the guy met the director of the Blossom Entertainment agency and came under his care. The same year, he played several minor roles in the film Runway Cop, the KBS2 special drama Still Picture, and the TV series Bridal Mask. ).

After graduating from high school, Park Bogom attended Myongji University, where many renowned musicians studied, including famous singer-songwriter Lee Moonse, popular folk rock singer Kim Kwangseok, and composer Kim Phil. When choosing a specialization, the young man was guided by his childhood dreams - he entered the music department.

It is noteworthy that the university campus is located 35 kilometers from Seoul, in Yongin. Because of this, Park Bogum had to take the bus to class every day. However, oddly enough, no one recognized him.

In 2013, Bogum landed his first leading role in the weekend drama Wonderful Mama, which aired on SBS. In the series, the actor played the role youngest son the main character is the spoiled and capricious Go Youngjun. After the release of the drama, the actor’s number of fans increased noticeably and he began to be invited to filming more often.

The next year, 2014, was the most prolific year for projects for the aspiring actor: he starred in three feature films and two dramas. At the beginning of the year, the full-length film “A Hard Day” was released on big screens, in which Lee Sungyun played the main role. God played a minor character - officer Lee Jinho. A few weeks later, The Admiral: Roaring Currents was released, winning several awards at various festivals and grossing $132 million at the box office. On the set of this historical drama Park has collaborated with such famous actors as Choi Minsik, Ryu Seungryong and Cho Jinwoon.

In August 2014, KBS2 began broadcasting the 50-episode drama Wonderful Days, in which Park Bogum played the protagonist as a young man. At least young actor and there wasn’t much screen time, the audience remembered him for his heartfelt performance. A few months later, the broadcast of the series “Cantabile of Tomorrow” (“Naeil’s Cantabile”) began. In the project, Bom played a character named Lee Yunho, a famous cellist who left music due to a hand injury. For these roles, Park was awarded a nomination "Best New Actor" at the annual KBS Drama Awards.

In May 2015, Boghom joined the music TV show "Music Bank" as a host. His partner was Irene, a member of the girl pop group Red Velvet. The newly formed duo attracted great attention thanks to the “natural chemistry”, as well as the remarkable vocal abilities of both participants: together with co-host Park Bogum, they took part in special performances. The press called Boghom and Irene the best leading duo in the entire 18-year history of the show. In addition, the actor was awarded the Best Debut Award at the KBS Entertainment Awards for his work in Music Bank.

Improving as an actor, Park Bogum decided to play a negative character. In the crime drama “Remember You,” which aired on KBS2 from June to August 2015, the young man got into character serial killer. For his departure from his previous roles and the established image of a “good boy,” Bogum received rave reviews from viewers and film critics, and was also awarded the “Popularity Award” and the “Best New Actor” award at the annual KBS Drama Awards.

That same year, he appeared in the feature film China Town, which was shown at the Cannes International Film Festival. For his role as Park Seok-hyun, who suffers due to his father's debts, Bog was awarded the Best New Actor (Feature) nomination at the 52nd Paeksang Arts Awards.

And yet, Park Bogum’s real fame came from his first leading role in the TV series Reply 1988. The tvN cable drama, set in Seoul in 1988, became a hit, garnering 18% viewership ratings. And the role of the brilliant baduk player Choi Taek elevated Bogum to the list of the most popular actors not only in South Korea, but also abroad. He began to be called “a representative of the new generation of the Korean Wave.” Immediately after the broadcast of the series ended, the actor was awarded the “Best International Artist” award at the Chinese Music Awards, and the American online resource DramaFever named Bog “Best Rising Star.”

It is noteworthy that even during the casting of the drama “Answer 1988” the scriptwriters noticed many similarities between Park Bogum and Choi Taek. The young actor, like his character, drives a car poorly, cannot swear, does not drink alcohol and prefers a simple style of clothing.

Without stopping filming, God paid a lot of attention to his studies. In 2015, he was chosen as a university representative and traveled with three classmates to Europe to attend several youth conferences. During the trip they visited the cities of Great Britain, France, Italy and Switzerland. And in 2016, Myongji University began releasing promotional brochures with Bogom, naming him as its official representative.

After the release of the drama Answer 1988, Park Bogum became a sought-after model. According to media estimates, in 2016 he earned $3.4 million solely from advertising: the actor promoted various brands of clothing, accessories, shoes, cosmetics, household appliances, and also promoted food brands.

In January 2016, Park Bogum held his first fan meeting. Over 3.5 thousand fans gathered at the meeting with the actor, which took place in Seoul. This was followed by the first international fan meeting, held in April of the same year in Taipei.

At the beginning of 2016, Park Bogum took part in the tvN reality show “Youth is More Beautiful than Flowers,” in which he went on a trip to Africa with Ahn Jae-hun, Ryu Jun-yeol and Ko Gyong-pyo. During the 10-day trip, the young people visited Namibia and Zimbabwe. The viewership rating for this part of the show was the most successful: the first episode collected 11.8%, and the average rating was 7.9%.

In June 2016, after a year of working at Music Bank, Bogue decided to leave the post of host of the TV show and completely focused on his acting career. At that time, he agreed to play the main role in the historical drama “Moonlight Drawn By Clouds”, the plot of which is based on the manhwa of the same name by Yong Yusoo. The role of Crown Prince Yi Young was Bogum's first work in a Korean sageuk.

Having collected 23% of the audience rating, the series became not only a domestic, but also an international hit. The popularity of the drama was called "Moon Syndrome", and Park Bogum's fans launched the "Bogum Magic" movement. Thus, the actor strengthened the title of a top star and versatile artist. In addition, Bogum fulfilled a long-time dream: he recorded the soundtrack for the drama - the track was called “My Person”. Immediately after its release, the single entered the ranking of songs on such music charts as Melon, Mnet, Bugs, olleh, Soribada, Genie, Naver and Monkey3. And in the Gaon Chart, which publishes data on sales of releases, the track took third place in the first week.

The Korean Business Research Institute coined the concept of the “Park Bogum Effect” in the summer of 2016. According to sociologists, this phrase can characterize any current brand that is sufficiently effective, unique and popular.

Since debut, Park Bogum has not been in a romantic relationship. The agency does not prohibit him from meeting girls, provided that he does not get caught. However, the actor himself is afraid of close relationships: he worries that he will not be able to combine work and personal life, and he will not be able to make his chosen one happy. In an interview for EToday magazine, Bogom noted that the age difference does not matter to him, the most important thing is mutual understanding. “I don’t have any particular preferences in appearance girls. I just hope we're perfect for each other. I like people who look after me like a mother, but at the same time stay good friends“, noted the artist.

Bogom’s colleagues unanimously claim that he is very gentle and kind. Sometimes this trait of his character makes it difficult for them to get into the role of a hero who hates Puck's character. In addition, he is very hardworking: if he starts a business, he gives it his all. On the other hand, fans call the actor a very caring and humble person. He always thanks fans for their love and support, which is why he often cries at fan meetings.

Abyss (TV series 2019)

Star of tvN series “ Reply 1988Park Bo Gum sat down with KpopHerald yesterday to talk about his life as an actor and 22-year-old young man. Readers asked the actor questions the day before.

Q: What role or genre would you like to play? Maybe in a historical series/film?

PBG: I would like to try myself in an action or historical project. In particular, it would be fun to play a doctor or young guy living in the village. Most of all I want to star in a series or film about teenage love.

Q: Have you decided what your next film or TV series will be?

It would be a lie to say that I don't feel any pressure at all when choosing my next project. But what I know for sure is that I will give my best in all my work. Since my debut in 2011, I have considered each of my series/films to be the biggest work of my life. I know I have to be hardworking and focused on my work - which is what I've been doing for the last five years. And the director and managers of my agency will try to choose the character that suits me best.

Q: What did you dream of becoming as a child? Why did you decide to become an actor?

When I was little, I dreamed of becoming a steward, a Korean teacher, and a pianist. For some reason, I always knew that my work would be related to TV. I love dancing and singing, so as a child I dreamed of becoming a singer and composer who touches people's hearts with my songs and melodies. In high school, I recorded a video of myself singing and sent it to my current agency. Management looked at it and suggested that I start a career in acting as it would help me gain experience so that I could release albums and participate in musicals.

Q: How would you like to be recognized in 10 or 20 years?

I don't know how long I can play. There is a certain time for everything, so I will try my best while I can. I want to be seen as an actor you want to work with, as someone with kind hearted, and someone who spreads positive energy. It would also be great to have a reputation as a good actor.

Q: Who would you like to work with in the future?

I'm not in a position to choose partners ( laughs). ABOUT! This reminded me that I want to work together with Yeo JinGoo. He is younger than me in age, but more experienced in acting. He knows how to act, analyze a script and express emotions. He is wonderful. From my previous series, “Wonderful Mom,” I learned that you have to look a person in the eyes when you play, and it’s an amazing feeling. I'm wondering what it's like to “communicate” like that while playing with Yo.

Q: You have gained a lot of fans in Thailand thanks to “Reply 1988”. Do you have any plans to come there or learn the language?

I heard that learning Thai is very difficult. I am grateful and happy to know that Thai fans support me. I will be happy to go anywhere if they are waiting for me there.

Q: How do you deal with stress or hateful comments online?

I eat, sleep, talk to people. I think more simply and forgive more easily when I'm under stress. I try to think positive thoughts to reduce my stress levels.

Q: Who is your biggest competitor among the rising stars born in 1993: Yoo Seung Ho (“ ”), Seo Kang Joon (“ ”) or Do Kyung Soo (“ ”)?

I never considered them rivals. My parents say that I should not act because of competition with someone, but because I love acting and should be grateful for this opportunity. Some of them have more acting experience than me, which means I can learn a lot from them. If given the chance, it would be great to get everyone together and have some fun.

Q: How do you feel about being compared to Jo In Sung, both in terms of acting and appearance?

It's an honor to be compared to Cho. I saw him in a private meeting with other people. It would be great to play my brother or his younger character in a movie or TV series.

Q: Who are your biggest supporters, other than your fans and parents?

People from my agency. They believed in me and helped me become who I am today. I really appreciate what they did to make my dream come true.

Q: How is it that you behave very naturally with women?

It probably helps a lot to have a sister who is 10 years older than you. It's common for both women and men to feel awkward when they're in the same room together for the first time. I think guys should be men and start the conversation first. When I filmed the kiss scene with Hye Ri (Park Bo Gum's "Reply 1988" co-star), I was very nervous because it was the first TV kiss for both of us. I was shy too, but I pretended everything was fine to make Hye Ri feel comfortable.

Q: Who was your first love?

I met my first love in middle school and stayed with her until high school. I don’t remember exactly how long we were together, but long enough. Of course, we got separated a couple of times during the process. When I meet a girl, I date her for a long time rather than being in a relationship for a month or a year.

Q: Do you think it is possible in real life to marry your first love like Deok Sun and Taek?

I don't know. Depends on the partner. I'm not dating anyone right now, so I can't put myself in your shoes, but I guess it's possible if you believe in each other. I've been thinking about this a lot lately. You will live your whole life with one woman when you get married. I pray a lot to meet my one and only.

Q: What is the real-life relationship like between you and your Ssanmon-dong neighbors from the series?

This is my fourth collaboration with Ko Kyung Pyo, so I feel most comfortable with him. Of course, Reply 1988 was a great opportunity to get to know him better. Lee Dong Hwi is just as funny in real life as his character. Ryu Chun Yeol is a role model for all actors as he constantly analyzes his character and works on his acting skills. I met Hye Ri for the first time on this show and she is just like Deok Sun.

Q: When did you first realize that you were Hye Ri's husband? How did you feel?

Hye Ri found out who her husband would be during the filming of episode 16, but I didn't find out until episode 19. Since everyone's script is different, someone gave me someone else's script and I accidentally found out before filming the final episode. The actors weren't given much information about the script. This is how we found out that Lee Mi Young was playing the “adult” Hye Ri only after watching the first episode.

Q: How did you feel when you first found out that Ryu's character was also in love with Hye Ri?

Ryu's character, Jung Hwan, is very attractive, so it is not surprising for Hye Ri to marry him. After the kissing scene, Taek asks Deok Sun if she remembers what happened last night. She replies that it’s nothing. Like the audience, I thought the kiss was a dream. But it turns out that Deok Sun and Taek actually kissed that night, so I was completely shocked.

Q: Do you see yourself in Choi Taek?

I realized that I looked like my character in Reply 1988. I, like Tak, am an “iron fist in a velvet glove.” We are very similar in that we are very goal-oriented and both love milk. If there is a difference, it is only that I am not so good at chess ( laughs).

Q: Are there any other roles you'd like to try from Reply 1988?

When I first auditioned for the role, I didn't think I would play Choi Taek. The director asked me to read for another role similar to the characters from “Reply” and said that I would be suitable for the role of Tak. During the audition, he also asked me to swear, and I think he found it funny and saw Choi Taek in me.

Q: What did you think of the ending?

From the very beginning of the series, I thought that Hye Ri should marry someone who makes her happy. I felt bad from Jung Hwan's point of view because Ryu expressed his feelings so well.
