Questions for self-control

Decay Soviet Union was accompanied by a widespread surge of violence that engulfed most regions of the once united country. During this period, cases of terrorism, hostage-taking increased sharply, and interethnic conflicts arose.

The trigger mechanism allows firing single shots and bursts. The firing mode translator, which also performs the functions of a fuse, is located on the left side of the receiver above the trigger guard.

The PP-90 Ml submachine gun was developed by the KBP enterprise and is intended for arming police units and internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, army units not directly involved in hostilities, crews of armored vehicles and helicopters, as well as crews of heavy infantry weapons.
PP-90 Ml largely meets the basic requirements for modern personal defense weapons being developed in many countries around the world in accordance with the PDW (Personal Defense Weapon) concept. As you know, such a weapon should be constantly with a serviceman, without interfering with the performance of his duties, i.e. be as light and compact as possible. At the same time, it must ensure sufficient fire efficiency to deter an enemy armed with combined-arms small arms.

Since 2008, the police departments and parts of the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia have been receiving submachine guns PP-19-02 isp. 20 "Vityaz-SN". This submachine gun was designed and manufactured at Izhevsk Machine-Building Plant OJSC. The tactical and technical assignment for its development was issued by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in 2003, and the name of the topic of development work, which was later assigned to the submachine gun, is directly related to the Vityaz special unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, whose commander S. I. Lysyuk initiated this development.
It should be noted that another prototype in the development of the "Vityaz" was the submachine gun PP-19 "Bizon", which was borrowed from the automation system, which works by using the recoil energy of the free shutter. At the same time, however, it was necessary to change the design of the rammer, since, unlike the Bizon store with a single-row exit of cartridges, the Vityaz store is made in two rows with a staggered arrangement of cartridges. Compared to the Bizon, the position of the reloading handle has also been changed. It is shifted forward, and the cutout for it in the cover of the receiver is completely closed by the shield of the firing mode translator (when the latter is in the “fuse” position). This prevents dirt from getting inside the receiver.
The main ammunition for both variants of the Vityaz submachine gun is the new 9×19 mm PRS cartridge (PRS - reduced ricochet ability). It has a lead-core jacketed bullet with a muzzle velocity of 360 m/s.

In 1991, the American company Calico began production of a submachine gun with an original auger magazine, the capacity of which was 50-100 rounds. Although the cost of this weapon was almost twice the cost of other similar submachine guns, the very next year the first 1000 Calico submachine guns entered service with the US Drug Enforcement Administration, orders for a submachine gun came from the Forces. special operations and the US Marine Corps. By the middle of 1996, export deliveries were made to 27 countries of the world.
A similar weapon was created in Russia. At the end of 1993, a photograph of the President appeared on the pages of Russian and foreign publications Russian Federation B. N. Yeltsin with original appearance weapon in hand - this is how the latest development of the designers of the Izhevsk Machine-Building Plant, the PP-19 Bizon-2 submachine gun, was demonstrated.

The PP-91 "Kedr" submachine gun is in service with many law enforcement agencies of the Russian Federation. They are armed with special police units and internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Federal Penitentiary Service, the Federal Drug Control Service, employees of departmental security, the Courier Service and collectors. The first 40 pre-series samples of PP-91 "Kedr" were manufactured in 1992 at the Izhevsk Mechanical Plant, subsequently mass production was organized at the Zlatoust machine-building plant.
The simple and technological design of the PP-91 "Kedr" is
further development of the pistol- machine gun PP-71, developed by E. F. Drag new in the late 1960s. according to the tactical and technical assignment of the GRAU of the USSR Ministry of Defense within the framework of the Buket experimental design program. Work on the creation of the PP-92 was also carried out under the leadership of E.F. Dragunov, so the weapon was called "Kedr" - the design of Evgeny Dragunov.

Adopted in the early 1990s. The submachine gun PP-91 "Kedr" has one, but a very significant drawback for service with the units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and other law enforcement agencies of the Russian Federation - its ammunition is a 9 × 18 mm PM pistol cartridge, which is not powerful enough to hit targets in personal armor protection. The effective firing range of this submachine gun does not exceed 50 m. For this reason, in the early 1990s. An attempt was made to improve the combat characteristics of the submachine gun of this system by developing its version for a more powerful 9 × 18 mm PMM cartridge, made in the dimensions of a 9 × 18 mm PM cartridge, but having a larger powder charge and a lighter bullet with a pointed head.
The 9 × 18 mm PMM cartridge bullet has an initial velocity of 425 m/s and at a distance of 20 m it pierces a 3 mm thick steel sheet or a car body, and at a distance of 10 m it ensures the destruction of a live target protected by an army body armor.

In 1997, at an arms exhibition in Moscow, the Gepard submachine gun, developed on an initiative basis by the designers of military unit 33491 and CJSC ROKS, was demonstrated for the first time. The creation of this submachine gun is due to the fact that due to the use of insufficiently effective ammunition, many modern Russian pistols machine guns do not provide reliable defeat of targets in personal protective equipment.
« Cheetah"is a system on the basis of which you can create a family of submachine guns that best meet the requirements of various law enforcement agencies.
A shortened machine gun was used as a base for the development of the "Cheetah" AKC-74U, which borrowed a wooden forearm and pads, a fire mode translator, sights and a shortened receiver. At the same time, in contrast to the version OTs-39 P under a powerful cartridge 9 × 19 mm 7 H21 pistol- One of the essential features OTs-22"Beech" are small in size and weight. This was achieved through the use of a "pistol" layout scheme with the placement of the store in the fire control handle. Gun- machine gun equipped with mechanism
mi automation, working by using the energy of the free shutter recoil.

All the qualities of a modern tactical pistol are especially evident in close combat. Impressive power and a compact format allow you to effectively maneuver between obstacles and work in tight spaces.

This collection brings together the best new and old models, from newfangled handguns chambered in obscure calibers to the battle-tested M1911 or M9 models.

FN Five-seven

For the tasks faced by special forces - the release of hostages, the elimination of criminals, etc., it is preferable to use various kinds of rifles. But if space does not allow, or you have to run through confusing corridors, then a pistol is the best choice. Yes, the lethal force of such weapons is much lower than that of a rifle, but FN tried to reduce this gap.

is a tactical semi-automatic pistol that was developed in 1998 for use by NATO forces. A few years ago, NATO wanted to replace 9mm pistols with more powerful weapons, and their choice fell on the 5.7x28mm caliber. This pistol has become an addition to the revolutionary P90 submachine gun. It is very light, it has a roomy magazine, ambidextral control, weak strength recoil, and when using a certain cartridge, body armor can be pierced from this weapon.

The FN Five-seven is a serious, thoughtful, reliable, functional, and very easy to handle pistol. The 5.7x28mm cartridge is equally effective in close and long-range combat, and the bullet has exceptional damaging properties. The gun is a little big, but very light, so carrying it will not bring inconvenience.

Yes, 5.7mm caliber is unlikely to replace 9mm or .45, but there are tasks in which no other caliber simply compares to it.

The company is best known for its exceptional customization of the M1911 pistols and AR-like rifles designed for competition and self-defense. But the company is also refining Beretta pistols. Anyone can send their M9A1 military model, or civilian 92 or 96 model to them, which Wilson Combat will turn into sweetie.

Ernest Langdon, who has been involved in Beretta pistols, and is a pioneer in the development of parts for high-performance versions of the Model 92. The trigger release of these models is extremely smooth, and the ergonomics of the pistol have contributed to improving the accuracy of shooting.

The HK45 pistol is an excellent choice for those who prefer pistols chambered in .45 ACP. But the HK45 Tactical is even better, because its barrel has a silencer thread. And unlike the HK45, which is only available in black, this model is available in three colors: black, brown and khaki.

The HK45 Tactical was developed to compete in the US Army's Joint Service Pistol competition, which aims to replace the Beretta M9 with a new pistol chambered in .45 ACP. But later, this competition was replaced by another - "Modular Handgun System".

This pistol differs from the USP and MK23 in improved ergonomics and an ambidextrous slide stop button. It also has a much more comfortable grip and interchangeable rear end handle frames.

The action of automation is based on the recoil of the barrel, the frame is polymer, and the guides and trigger parts are made of German steel. Shutter housing, barrel and magazine are made in Germany. The manufacturer guarantees a minimum service life of at least 20 thousand shots.

Started production of an improved M11 model, which in turn is a modification of the P228 pistol, designed for the US Army. It is used by agencies such as NCIS, DCIA, USACIDC, as well as the US military aviation.

The M11 model differs from the P228 in having a slightly shorter barrel and breechblock (by 1.57 cm), as well as a handle, which reduced the magazine capacity from 15 to 13 rounds. The trigger guard, on the contrary, is elongated and rounded in front.

The new model M11-A1 differs from the M11 not only in the country of origin (USA and Germany). The main differences are that in the German M11 the shutter casing is soldered from separate carbon parts, and in the M11-A1 it is made of a single piece of stainless steel, the extractor of the German model is internal, the American one is external, the third generation. The list of advantages of the American model also includes an enlarged magazine (by 15 rounds versus 13), a phosphate coating of internal parts, as well as a Short Reset Trigger trigger.

As a result of all the improvements, we got a high-quality, accurate, durable, convenient and reliable pistol that easily handles +P cartridges.

Characteristics:

Cartridge: 9mm
Barrel Length: 3.9"
Total length: 18cm
Weight: 907 grams

The first special forces to adopt these pistols were the Austrian Jagdkommando and EKO Cobra. then replaced the Manurhin MR73 revolver. Over time, the example of the Austrians was followed by special forces and armies of such countries as Greece, Finland, France, USA, Bangladesh, Czech Republic, Norway, Portugal, Switzerland, Great Britain.

In situations where only one hand is free, and the enemy is nearby - the Glock pistol, thanks to its legendary strength and reliability, this is the best spare weapon.

In 2011, Rob Anger, the owner of Roberts Defense, was on fire to make quality pistol based on the M1911, using only premium American parts. The Recon Pro model, made of light alloy and a set of unique characteristics, showed that Rob was on the right track.

Pistol frames are made from 7076-T6 extruded aluminum. Then an anodized coating and two layers of Teflon are applied to it. Thanks to this, the gun gets a durable shell with anti-friction characteristics. The fit of the bolt housing to the frame is simply impressive, thanks to the tight tolerances, there is not the slightest hint of play between these parts. Recon Pro can hardly be called mass - it is rather an exclusive model.

Characteristics:

Cartridge: .45 ACP
Barrel length: 5 inches
Total length: 22 cm

- the oldest arms manufacturer in the United States, this company has been on the market for almost 200 years. Thanks to their outstanding quality and reliability, this brand of weapons has earned a serious reputation among the Americans, and the company has become the largest manufacturer of rifles and shotguns (and ammunition).

However, with the exception of the revolver of the times civil war and the M1911 pistol, which was produced by the Remington subsidiaries UMC and Remington Rand during the First and Second World Wars, Remington was never considered a prominent manufacturer of handguns.

In light of the anniversary of the adoption of the M1911 model by the US Army, the company decided to release the R1 model. This is a classic, full-size, semi-automatic pistol chambered for the classic powerful .45 ACP cartridge. This was followed by a stainless steel model and the R1 Enhanced tactical model with silencer threads.

At the shooting range, when firing with conventional and expansive cartridges, the pistol showed itself with the best side- not a single hitch. When shooting from a benchrest at 25 yards, they managed to lay down a group of 1.25 inches.

Characteristics:

Cartridge: .45 ACP
Barrel length: 5 inches
Total length: 23cm
Weight: 1.2 kg
Handle: Laminated wood grips
Sight: open, with two points, the front sight is high, on the "dovetail"
USM: Single action
Finishing: black oxide film

In September 2012, the US Army ordered 100,000 M9 pistols from Beretta. This batch will complement the 600 thousand M9 pistols that are in service with armies around the world. The M9 is still the main pistol of the US Army, and it has been produced at a plant in Maryland since 1987.

According to the military, one of the advantages of the M9 over the M1911 is its moderate recoil, and the magazine for 15 + 1 rounds is also a weighty argument. Size, balance, and ergonomics are factors that make this pistol very comfortable to shoot, even when using +P ammo.

Weight: 944 grams
Handle: engraved plastic grips
Sight: open, with white dots

After carrying out a large-scale counter-terrorist operation in the North Caucasus, gangs are trying to dissolve among the civilian population, while continuing to destabilize the situation and carry out terrorist acts. To destroy the enemy in populated areas, in safe houses, employees of operational units require a powerful rapid-fire weapon that, in terms of its characteristics, would not be inferior to the small arms of army units, but would be compact and mobile. This is primarily due to the specifics of the tasks performed.

The "Groza-1" variant was released for army special forces chambered for the widely used 7.62 x 39 cartridge. The assault rifle is 70 percent unified with the AKM, and uses standard AKM magazines (in the version chambered for 7.62 mm). The main difference is the bullpup layout and variable configuration: the base machine can be used as a carbine, an assault machine (with an elongated barrel and a front additional grip for holding), a silent machine (with a silencer), and an automatic grenade launcher.

The term "domestic sniper rifle" until recently was associated with the SVD, which was put into service in 1963 and designed for use in a large-scale armed conflict. But time passes, the nature of hostilities changes, the tasks facing snipers change and supplement, and, accordingly, the requirements for their weapons change and supplement, which entails a change in their designs. Small-sized, maneuverable models with high combat qualities, reliable and easy to handle, which make it possible to conduct effective fire in any terrain conditions, are being put into service. SVU OTs-03 sniper rifle The shortened sniper rifle had a number of advantages over the standard SVD. Firstly, the small dimensions of the rifle increased the sniper's maneuverability in a limited space, and secondly, a weapon appeared convenient for marching and when transported on vehicles, and thirdly, the combat properties of the rifle were practically preserved. The main feature of the IED was that it was assembled according to the bullpup scheme. The location of the buttstock along the axis of the barrel improved the stability of the weapon's combat.

Question 2 Ammunition for special weapons In most cases, all weapons are designed for a specific ammunition, and not ammunition for weapons. Therefore, it is not special weapons that deserve special attention, since the principle of their design and the operation of automation are almost identical with samples of conventional (army) small arms, but ammunition for special weapons.

The following types of ammunition can be used for shooting from special weapons: - Ordinary cartridges with a bullet with a steel or lead core; - tracer cartridges; - Incendiary cartridges; - Sniper cartridges; - Armor-piercing cartridges; - Armor-piercing incendiary cartridges; - Special ammo.

9 x 18-mm PMM pistol In the 90s, the cartridge and pistol were modernized and received the names PMM-M and PMM, respectively. Such a cartridge cannot be fired from the old Makarov pistols. Standard military ammunition is loaded with a jacketed bullet weighing 6 g. There is a bullet with a heat-strengthened steel core weighing 5.4 g, which penetrates 3 mm steel plate at a distance of 20 meters. 9mm modernized high-pulse cartridge (57-N-181SM), which, not differing in size from the 9mm cartridge for the Makarov pistol, has an increased penetrating and stopping effect (approximately at the level of the cartridge 9 x 19mm Par.). Currently, variants of the standard cartridge with expansive and tracer bullets are also being worked out.

Cartridges for special weapons accepted for equipping in Russia 7.62 x 35 mm SP-3, PZAM, SP-4 Special cartridges are the smallest in circulation, but perhaps the most diverse category of cartridges used not only in samples of special small arms, but also in all kinds of shooting devices intended for use in special conditions.

7.62 x 35 mm SP-3 In the early 1960s, the SP-2 cartridge underwent modernization: the old pusher bullet was replaced with an ordinary PS bullet from a 7.62 mm submachine gun cartridge. The new telescopic pusher, which took over the functions of the piston, remained in the sleeve after the shot. The geometry of the cartridge case has not changed much, but the increase in the mass of the bullet slightly reduced its initial speed. The new ammunition received the index SP-3. The most widely used are two samples firing SP-2 and SP-3 cartridges: a small-sized double-barreled pistol MSP and a special knife of the NRS reconnaissance. SME

7.62 x 35 mm SP-4 In 1983, a new silent Vul complex was adopted, which includes a 7.62 mm PSS self-loading pistol and an SP-4 cartridge. The new ammunition was a further development of the SP-2 and SP-3. By design, it is closer to the older SP-2, but the piston rests directly on the bullet, which is a hard alloy cylinder with a brass leading belt in front. To increase the stopping effect, the head of the bullet is made flat, which does not significantly affect its ballistics at short firing distances. PSS

The Russian police are adopting new, more powerful Yarygin 6P35 Grach pistols and PP-2000 Vityaz submachine guns. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation claims that the rearmament is a logical continuation of the last year's reforms (renaming the police to the police). According to the representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the police will be armed with pistols and submachine guns, adapted specifically for firing in the city. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation believes that there is only one inconvenience in this rearmament - the need to train people to use this particular, fundamentally new weapon. The ability to shoot a Makarov pistol and a Kalashnikov assault rifle will not help here. Namely, these models of weapons have been in service with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Defense for decades. This was convenient: the commanders could be sure that a young policeman who had served in the army would be able to shoot from a Kalashnikov assault rifle or a Makarov pistol. After re-equipment, it will take weeks and months to retrain the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Vityaz submachine guns and Grach pistols are brand new powerful weapons, besides, the Makarov pistol has only eight rounds in the magazine, while the Grach pistol has seventeen, which is also a significant advantage.

The process of rearmament in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation will be divided into stages. At the first stage, the rearmament of the police special forces of the special forces began (the first pistols of the new Grach design were received by the fighters of the Moscow special forces). Police Major General Vyacheslav Khaustov, head of the Special Forces Center of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for Moscow, promised that the employees of the special purpose center would switch to using the new, more convenient Yarygin Grach pistol, in as soon as possible.

In the near future, it is also planned to replace the outdated Kalashnikov assault rifle with a more modern and more powerful weapon. According to the plan, the PP-2000 "Vityaz" - a fundamentally new powerful automatic weapon with a caliber of 9 mm (the Kalashnikov assault rifle has a caliber of 5.45 mm) will go into service with the special forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and traffic police detachments. PP-2000 "Vityaz" has a number of advantages over the Kalashnikov assault rifle - PP-2000 "Vityaz" has: greater accuracy of fire, increased penetration, greater damaging effect (the wound from a 9mm bullet is much more serious than from 5.45 mm), the magazine capacity of the mind PP-2000 "Vityaz" is 44 rounds instead of 30 for a Kalashnikov assault rifle, the rate of fire for PP- 2000 "Vityaz" is higher than the AKSu-74.

It is for these reasons, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, that the Grach pistol and the PP-2000 Vityaz submachine gun are more suitable for them than the Makarov pistol and the Kalashnikov assault rifle.

At the Izhevsk Mechanical Plant, the development of the Grach pistol was carried out by a design team led by lead engineer Vladimir Yarygin, who was known as a designer of sports pistols. Developed with his direct participation, the standard small-caliber pistol IZH-35 (since 1986 - IZH-35M) has been mass-produced at the Izhevsk Mechanical Plant since 1978. With a pistol of this model, the leading shooters of the national team of the Soviet Union / Russia won a number of top titles at the championships of the world, Europe and Olympic Games.

During the development of the design, the main attention was paid to achieving high reliability characteristics. And therefore, most of the incorporated design solutions are among the traditional ones. Automation works on the principle of barrel recoil with a short stroke, locking - by skew of the barrel due to the cam groove located in the lower part of the barrel, located on the barrel protrusion, interacting with the shutter stop axis. The locking of the barrel is carried out due to the entry of the protrusion on the breech breech into the extraction window. The frame of the pistol is steel. The trigger mechanism is of the trigger type, with a compression mainspring and self-cocking. The double-sided safety lever is located on the frame. When turned on, the percussion mechanism can be blocked both in the cocked and in the deflated state. In the "protection" position, the sear, trigger, hammer and bolt are blocked. The possibility of blocking the impact mechanism in the cocked state allows you to make the first shot after turning off the fuse with a small trigger force, which helps to increase the probability of hitting the first shot. The ejector, which protrudes noticeably above the surface of the bolt when a cartridge is sent into the chamber, simultaneously serves as an indicator of the presence of a cartridge.

Cartridge supply - from a two-row magazine for 17 rounds, fixed by a latch located on the left side of the frame, under thumb right hand. If necessary, it can be remounted on the right side of the frame.

The 6P35 pistol has a barrel 114.5 mm long, dimensions 190x140x38 mm, unloaded weight 1.00 kg.

Disassembly of the gun for cleaning and lubrication in the field is carried out without a special tool: for this, it is necessary to sequentially separate: the magazine, the shutter stop, moving forward - from the frame the shutter with the barrel and return mechanism.

As has become traditional for Russian small arms, the choice of a pistol for rearmament Russian army passed on a competitive basis. Izhevsk "Rook" passed competitive tests with a sample developed at the Central Research Institute of Precision Engineering (Klimovsk, Moscow Region). At the research site of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, the samples were tested for service life, non-failure operation in normal and difficult conditions (shooting without lubrication, at temperatures from minus 50 to plus 50 degrees Celsius, in dusty conditions, in rain). The total amount of tests in difficult conditions amounted to almost 1.5 thousand shots. As a result, the Izhevsk model met most of the strict requirements of the army. The effectiveness of the shooting was evaluated by the fighters of the FSB unit. When performing the exercises of the FSB shooting course with a new pistol, 65 percent of the participants completed them with "excellent" and "good" marks. In general, the Yarygin design sample demonstrated its advantages over the competing design and was recommended for adoption by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the FSB and the Russian Army, but so far only the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation has adopted it,

According to their consumer qualities and technical specifications pistol MP443 "Rook" of the Izhevsk Mechanical Plant is at the most modern level, and in some parameters it surpasses Western counterparts.

Submachine gun PP-2000 "Vityaz"

The PP-2000 submachine gun was developed at the Instrument Design Bureau (KBP) in Tula, Russia, and was first shown to the public in 2004, although a patent for its design was registered as early as 2001. The PP-2000 is obviously intended to be either a self-defense weapon for military personnel (PDW), or as a melee weapon for special operations forces, both army and police / police, primarily for operations in the city. PP-2000 is made extremely compact and lightweight, with a minimum number of parts and a simple design, providing simple operation and low cost. The ability to use armor-piercing ammunition of increased power 7N21 and 7N31, originally developed for the GSh-18 pistol, allows the PP-2000 to be used to fight enemies in personal protective equipment (helmets, bulletproof vests), as well as to effectively hit targets inside vehicles. At the same time, compared with small-caliber counterparts produced in Western countries, such as the Belgian 5.7mm FN P90 or the German 4.6mm HK MP-7, the PP-2000, thanks to the use of 9mm bullets, provides greater effectiveness against targets not protected by body armor. Currently, the PP-2000 is already in mass production and is entering service with the forces of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The PP-2000 submachine gun is built on the basis of automatic blowback. Fire from the PP-2000 is fired from a closed bolt, trigger mechanism. The body of the submachine gun is made of plastic with a pistol grip and an enlarged trigger guard, which, if necessary, can hold the weapon with two hands. The bolt protrudes from the body above the barrel, in its front part there is a cocking handle deflected to the right or left. The magazine is inserted into the pistol grip, the magazine latch button is located at the base of the trigger guard. Translator - the fuse is located on the left side of the weapon, above the pistol grip, and provides firing both single shots and bursts. A distinctive feature of the PP-2000, protected by a patent, is a slot for a spare magazine in the back of its case. With a magazine inserted into this socket, it can be used as a rudimentary shoulder rest (butt). Modern serial versions of the PP-2000 are equipped with a detachable side-folding butt, which is installed in the socket for a spare magazine. On the upper surface of the receiver cover, a Picatinny rail is made, which allows you to install various additional sighting devices on the corresponding brackets.
