Ministry of Education and Science Russian Federation prepared a calendar of educational events for the new 2017-2018 academic year. In all educational institutions, it is recommended to include in the work plans various educational events associated with holidays and memorable dates. The events of the calendar include state and national holidays of Russia, memorable dates, significant historical and cultural events. 2017 is the year of ecology and protected natural areas in Russia.
Holding such events instills in students the cultural values of the people, universal and national values, contributes to the formation of civic identity.
When scheduling events, it is worth considering what it is desirable to include in them different kinds works:
- intellectual development,
- civic-patriotic education;
- spiritual and moral education;
- the formation of students' artistic and aesthetic perception;
- labor, physical and environmental education,
- measures for labor protection and life safety.
Event options
These days you can hold library exhibitions and theatrical performances, concerts, competitions of drawings and writing skills. The organization of relay races and sports competitions is welcome.
You can organize meetings with employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the police - this will help in the formation of professional orientation among students. Also, these meetings will help implement programs to combat terrorism and extremism, along with thematic lessons, cool hours and conversations. As part of the days of civil defense and solidarity in the fight against terrorism, it is recommended to conduct planned training evacuations in institutions.
To form environmental competence, organize excursions to local and regional wildlife sanctuaries and nature reserves, contests of ecological crafts "Save the Christmas tree", collection of waste paper.
For artistic, aesthetic, spiritual and moral education, prepare library exhibitions for the birthdays of Alexei Konstantinovich Tolstoy, Maxim Gorky and the Day of the Russian Language. Schedule visits to museums and libraries.
Student motivation
To implement the planned events, you can use all possible methods that scientific and technological progress provides:
- Conduct lessons using modern interactive techniques;
- Use innovative technologies(demonstration of materials and presentations on a projector or multimedia board);
- Conduct lessons in the form of a game (especially for elementary and high school);
- Use online resources with virtual tours of various cultural and historical places in Russia (for example, https://www.culture.ru/museums/virtual/)
For some types of work, for example, when designing a wall newspaper, you can give children the opportunity to actively participate and choose their own role: photographer, correspondent, editor, artist, etc.
Pay attention to the psychological climate in the classroom. It directly depends on your mood and interest how effective the event will be for the development and education of students.

The Ministry of Education and Science of Russia recommends in the 2017/18 academic year in order to familiarize students with the cultural values of their people, basic national values Russian society, universal values in the context of the formation of their Russian civic identity, to include in the programs of education and socialization educational events timed to coincide with: state and national holidays of the Russian Federation, memorable dates and events in Russian history and culture, local and regional memorable dates and events.
When organizing events, it is necessary to effectively use the capabilities of scientific, physical culture, sports and other organizations, cultural organizations that have the resources necessary for the implementation educational activities.
Guidelines for conducting educational events will be posted on the website of the Federal State Autonomous educational institution additional vocational education"Academy for advanced training and professional retraining of educators" in the "Recommended" section.
The Russian Ministry of Education and Science proposes to develop comprehensive regional plans for the preparation and holding of state and national holidays, anniversaries and events of the Russian Federation in the 2017/18 academic year, providing for modern active forms of organizing activities, as well as providing the necessary conditions for the participation of teachers, students, educational organizations in national events.
