Good health, dear friends and guests!
Spring is coming, the winter drowsiness and night will be replaced by the freshness of a spring morning, Life will begin to emerge, with each new revived blade of grass, with each new petal of a fragrant flower, with a radiant riot of greenery around, the gentle, mysterious, alluring Female Soul, as a symbol and personification of the continuation of Life, Motherhood, Care, Warmth and Affection.
You may ask why soon, because it is already March, and we have already celebrated Women's Day?
In fact, the real spring is still on the way and its arrival falls between March 20 and 21 at various times of the day or night, according to the solar cycle. The holiday of the arrival of spring is called the day of the spring equinox. The Yarilo-sun melts the snow, everything around begins to gain Life and Strength. Popular beliefs attribute the creation of the world and the first man to the month of March, and therefore New Year they met in March, they called this month "birch", because in March they begin to fill with birch sap, in March they release their first buds.

The establishment of Christianity in Rus' did not soon change this ancient custom - to start the New Year in March, during this period the Slavs celebrated Komoyeditsy - a real Russian Maslenitsa.
In addition to meeting Spring and celebrating the beginning of the New Year, the Slavic Bear God was also revered on this day. There is an opinion that in ancient times the Slavs called the bear Kom (hence the saying "the first pancake to the koms", that is, the bears). Therefore, in the early morning, before breakfast, with songs, dances and jokes, the villagers carried "pancake sacrifices" (pancakes baked for the holiday) into the forest to the Bear God and laid them out on stumps.
There was another custom. Early in the morning, near the temple and at the crossroads, people scattered grain. This was done so that the Navi, who took the form of forty, ate grain and did not interfere with the holiday. Hot pancakes and pies, oatmeal jelly, honey, kvass and snacks were placed on tables covered with a tablecloth. The treat was divided into five parts, the fifth part was placed in an open place near the Holy Fire. This part was intended for deceased relatives.

And so it was in fact for many thousands of years in the glorious past of our Great Slavic-Aryan civilization, when the holiday of spring was celebrated precisely during the awakening of nature itself, which gave new life around, including us humans.
This day is a turning point - the night is getting shorter and shorter, and the day is getting longer and longer. Spring, personifying the revival and revival of nature, comes to replace Winter.
For many millennia, March 22, our ancestors had the day of the goddess Vesta (from the word VEST), the goddess of Spring, who is called the patroness of the renewing world, it is she who controls the arrival of Spring on Earth and the awakening of the nature of our Earth. It was the day of the Goddess Vesta that was considered the original Russian holiday - Women's Day.

In connection with the awakening of Mother Earth, the fragrance of spring grasses, the multicolored wild flowers, many legends and tales have been composed, carefully passed from mouth to mouth by our ancestors and ancestors.
One of the legends tells about a beautiful and cheerful god, the god of light, the patron of fire, Kupala. They say that Kupala can appear in front of people not only on the day of his holiday, more precisely on the night, which is popularly called the night of Kupala.
Kupala also appears on other days, but mainly in summer, when it is lighter and warmer. Most of all, Kupala loves light, because he creates it himself from forest flowers, from the leaves of young trees, from moss. There is more light in summer because flowers and leaves are everywhere. In winter, less, and sometimes not at all. The fact is that Kupala prepares winter light even when it is warm in the yard - it makes stocks of flowers, leaves and moss, but these stocks are not always enough for the whole winter, hence the winters are different - one is darker, the other is lighter.

Today with the children we will try to help Kupala create more light and joyful mood in these last gloomy days of the outgoing Winter. Welcome to our creative workshop!
Materials and tools:
- sheet of A3 paper
- gouache (sour cream consistency)
brushes (preferably synthetics)
-cloth
- glass for water

Master class progress:

We start working on a flower arrangement from the background. At the top of the sheet, draw a blue or blue stripe of horizontal strokes.

We go a little lower and draw the second row with white color. Each lower color row overlaps the previous one a little, so that the colors mix a little with each other and a smooth flow from color to color is created. We work only with horizontal strokes.

After the white color, we introduce yellow, green, and then red colors into the work.

Do not forget to mix the colors a little on the border of their connection. When working with horizontal strokes, we create the illusion of growing herbs.

Finishing work on filling the background with ruby gouache.

Next, from the bottom of the work, we “pull” ruby blades of grass to the top of the previous colors. Each blade of grass should smoothly bend and reach for the sun, as if swaying in the breeze, and not stand at attention like a soldier. Then we "draw out" the green blades of grass and the work on the background is completed.

Next, we begin to fantasize about creating a flower arrangement. The main task here is to encourage children not to repeat your actions (I always draw with the children), but to create their own special drawing. Each image of a particular flower is just a technique that children can use in their work, but what kind of bouquet will turn out depends on the creative imagination of each of them.
Let's start with a simple chamomile. They are drawn with white strokes from the middle of the flower, the brush is applied with the tip to the center, and we stretch it a little to the outside, gradually pressing on the pile.

We place daisies over the entire surface of the sheet, they can be very small or, on the contrary, large, it all depends on you.

And the daisies were followed by flowers of unprecedented beauty, then I will give examples of their image.

The flower is drawn first yellow, just like a chamomile from the middle, only at the end of the petal we create a sharp tip (the tip of the brush - press on the entire pile - and again the tip of the brush).

We draw red petals between the yellow ones.

Then white petals. When painting with creamy gouache, the colors mix a little with each other - they create beautiful new color shades.

We complete the flower with small yellow petals.

The second flower starts with white.

I don’t wash the brush, but immediately pick up a ruby color on white, and again smears.

Then red, and finish the flower with small white strokes.

We will make this flower in cold colors.

Next, you can draw flowers similar to meadow lupine or garden delphinium. They are drawn in the form similar to inverted carrots;

Ruby first, then white on top.

You can draw a yellow flower.

And on top of the yellow, we again apply white "tyap-bloopers".

We first draw the cores of daisies in yellow, and then shade them a little with orange.

We supplement (balance) the composition with a purple flower, and draw yellow blades of grass in the lower part.

You can "play pranks" with your fingers and add little white inflorescences of herbs. And the work on the flower arrangement is completed.

Many people like to visit art galleries and exhibitions, get acquainted with works of art on the Internet. Most of them do not even dream of learning to draw the same way. Others allow themselves not only to dream about it, but also take the first steps towards mastering the initial skills. For artists of our time, there are a huge number of different materials. Today we will talk about gouache.

Nowadays, this paint is often perceived only as a material for children's creativity or decor. However, professional artists create beautiful and unique gouache paintings. Landscapes, especially at dusk and dawn, are magnificent.

If you want to learn how to draw and have some free time, start studying at a private art school. Gouache drawing lessons can also be found on the global network; many professionals and amateurs share their experience on the Internet. This article is for beginner artists, it will give general idea about gouache, drawing techniques and features of working with paint.

What is gouache?

The composition of this paint includes crushed pigments, a water-adhesive base and white.

A gouache painting can be painted on paper, plywood, glass, fabric - paint is perfectly applied to these materials. Working with gouache is convenient because there is no need to purchase various aids: special thinners, accelerators or drying retarders. In addition, it does not have a specific smell, you do not need to use a solvent during operation, and making changes to the picture is possible even after some time has passed.

The main difference between gouache and watercolor is that watercolor is usually applied in several layers, so you can play with the final result. With gouache, the application of several layers of paint does not make sense, because the human eye in the picture will see only a layer of gouache applied on top of the rest.

Gouache drawing lessons. How to choose gouache?

There are the following types of gouache:

  1. Artistic gouache, for which watercolor and tinted paper are suitable as a surface. The paint is ground pigments with the addition of water, white and gum arabic.
  2. Poster gouache is distinguished by the fact that kaolin is used in its production instead of white. This makes the paint denser and the applied colors brighter.
  3. Special gouache for children's creativity contains PVA glue, which replaces the more expensive gum arabic. This composition allows the paint to dry faster, less crumble and wear out. With the help of children's gouache, you can draw on paper and plywood, on pottery and canvas without primer.
  4. Acrylic gouache is used for painting all possible surfaces, while after drying it is not washed off with water.

Secrets of working with gouache

In order for a gouache painting to turn out no worse than a watercolor painting, you must follow some rules:

Too soft brushes are not suitable for working with gouache. For shading, backgrounds and fills when working with a wet brush, kolinsky, goat and synthetics are perfect.

For objects with a textured surface and when working with a three-dimensional image, it is best to use a dry brush with hog bristles.

For the image of a complex structure, you can also use a foam sponge, special rollers and ordinary paper napkins instead of a brush. With their help, you can achieve maximum realism by drawing the roughness of ceramic products or drawing a still life.

How to create a background for gouache?

Two methods are used to draw the background:

Gouache painting techniques

Can be used various methods painting, drawing pictures with gouache. For beginners, the following techniques are suitable:

Step by step painting with gouache

Let's take a simple example of how to draw pictures with gouache. Step by step we will perform one step after another in order to draw a tree:

  1. Since we are planning to draw a tree on a winter day, for starters
Let's paint the background of snow and sky. In the place where you plan to draw a tree, we advise you to highlight the sky more bright color, since white branches powdered with snow should be clearly visible against its background.
  2. After the background has dried, with a simple pencil or immediately with a dark shade of paint, draw a tree with branches.
  3. We continue to work on the tree: draw brown branches near the trunk and white thin branches at the ends.
  4. After that, it is necessary to detail the tree itself and the white branches.
  5. Since the background of the sky and snow itself looks boring, we enter. You can, for example, add a little light pink, lilac or peach shade to the background. This will enliven our drawing and make it more interesting.

As you can see, even a not very experienced artist can paint such a simple picture. You just need to have paint, a piece of paper, a brush, water and, of course, a strong desire to learn how to draw.

A rose is an amazingly beautiful flower with an interesting bud shape, graceful petals, and a rich palette of colors. No wonder the queen of flowers is present on many greeting cards, and artists love to depict her very much. Schoolchildren also like to draw roses to please their mother, grandmother, beloved teacher, or just to admire a beautiful composition. Of course, children's masterpieces are simple and spontaneous, but adults can help a child improve his visual skills. For example, step-by-step drawing can be successfully used in various techniques.

Necessary tools and materials for drawing

For fruitful creative activity adults, first of all, should equip him workplace- provide a spacious table. Great importance has a comfortable chair: a young artist should not sit bent over.

To work in various techniques, you will need the following tools:

  • sheets of white paper A4;
  • colored loose cardboard (for gouache painting);
  • a simple pencil (soft or hard-soft), always sharpened;
  • eraser;
  • colored pencils (as an option - wax crayons);
  • gouache;
  • watercolor paints;
  • brushes of different thicknesses.

You can draw a rose in graphic technique, colored pencils, paints

Another task of an adult is to prepare in advance technological maps with step-by-step drawing schemes so that the child always has them at hand (these may well be photographs from thematic sites).

How to draw a rose step by step with a pencil

Rose - not only very beautiful flower, but also a rather complex object for drawing (a bud consists of many petals nested one inside the other). But if the child draws it with a pencil in stages, then he will succeed.

Do not press too hard on the tool when applying the first strokes. The approximate outlines of the flower should be such that the student can easily erase them in case of a mistake. You can draw brighter lines at the final stage of work (you can use a soft pencil for this purpose).

rose buds

A flower arrangement may consist only of a bud (or several), without a stem, surrounded by petals.

  1. First, you should outline the center of the bud.

The first stage is the designation of the central part of the bud

  2. After that, we line up the petals around the center. various shapes, bottom and top, sides. The degree of fluffiness of the flower depends on how much the artist extends the lines of the bud.

Petals of arbitrary shape should depart from the center in different directions

  3. Gradually, the rose becomes more and more magnificent.

The queen of flowers is getting more and more magnificent

  4. And finally, the charming bud is ready.

    Lush bud already drawn

  5. The next stage of drawing is the image of the leaves. They should also be of different sizes and differ from each other in shape: some are fancifully curved, while others are more straight.

Around the bud, leaves of different sizes and shapes are depicted.

  6. And the final touch - you need to designate the veins on the leaves so that they become more realistic.

To make the image more realistic, you need to mark the veins on the leaves

Another way to depict a bud is to start with a spiral, gradually building petals around it.

The center of the rosebud resembles a spiral

Unblown rosebuds also look charming. The base in this case will be a small semicircle - it is from it that the stem stretches, at the bottom the bud is surrounded by small green leaves. In the upper part, you need to add a few petals: the degree of pomp of the flower depends on their number.

Drawing a half-closed bud begins with a semicircle, inside which petals are depicted

rose with stem

The next version of the rose is a flower with a stem and leaves. Let the bud be almost closed again.

  1. Let's start with the base of the bud and stem - this is not a big problem.

First, we depict the stem and the skeleton of the bud

  2. Next, draw the flower bud and its stem, designate the leaves.

We outline the leaves and the bud

  3. Then we make the leaves carved, and the bud more magnificent. The flower is ready, it remains only to color it.

The image remains only to paint in the appropriate color

Drawing a rose in a vase

Look great on the drawings of roses in vases or pots. Starting the creative process young artist must decide where he will start work: with a flower or a vase.

  1. The bud is depicted according to the already familiar scheme: loose or unopened.

First, we denote the buds at a certain distance from each other

  2. Then neat pointed leaves are added.

    We draw beautiful small leaves

  3. At the last stage, a vase is depicted. You can play with its shape: make it more convex in the middle, in the form of a trapezoid, a long rectangle, etc.

The last stage - drawing a vase

Coloring the sketch with colored pencils

After the child learns to realistically draw roses with a simple pencil, you can start coloring the silhouette with colored pencils or crayons. The following important points are taken into account.

As for the colors used, roses are most often depicted by children in red. But this flower can have many other shades in the composition: pink, yellow, orange, lilac. Roses painted in a very dark shade of red - almost black - look spectacular.

Note that younger students in their drawings often simply fill in the intended contour with the desired color.

In drawings elementary school student usually missing without shadow transitions

A small shadow on the petals looks much more interesting in the figure.

At an older age, children can already designate a shadow

Also, a spectacular artistic solution is the edging of the petals of a different color (for example, purple or brown, if it is pink or red).

The edging of the flower can be made in a different color - it always looks beautiful

The basis of drawing a bud is a large circle Drawing begins with a spiral Petals are formed around the oval The bud is drawn on the basis of an oval You can start drawing with both a flower and a pot The shape of a bud resembles a heart

The specifics of gouache drawing for beginners

Children love to paint flowers with gouache. After all, the compositions always turn out to be bright and expressive. This technique is ideal for beginner artists: errors and inaccuracies can be masked without damaging the picture.

Since gouache is opaque and contains white, you need to draw from dark to light, but not vice versa. First, the child must decide on the composition and color palette, and then begins to paint the dark areas. Light highlights and color accents are indicated in the final work.

In a gouache drawing, the background is of particular importance. It can be of two types.

  1. Uniform shading outside the pencil sketch: the rose itself and the background are indicated by certain colors.
  2. Fill. First, the background of the picture is drawn up, and when it dries, the flower is drawn directly (as an option, you can initially use not white paper, and colored cardboard).

Consider specific examples of drawing roses with gouache.

Bouquet of roses

  1. We make a pencil sketch of a flower arrangement.

Future roses are marked with circles

  2. shades Green colour fill in the background and draw the leaves.

The entire surface of the paper, with the exception of roses, is painted over with green shades.

  3. The next step is the design of the buds. Each of them is first painted over with white gouache. Until it dries, the petals are indicated by strokes of red.

Rosebuds are painted over with white gouache and complemented with red strokes.

  4. The final part of the work - with the help of a thin brush with white gouache, individual petals, leaves, blades of grass are highlighted. The composition is ready.

Fine decorative details are applied with white gouache

Rose on a green background

Gouache is good because it allows you to draw on a dark background. So, for a rose, you can choose a dark green base.

  1. Draw a red rosebud with a thin brush.

Draw a red bud on a green background with a brush

  2. The resulting image is blurred with water.

Blurring with water will create overflows of shades.

  3. With the help of light green gouache we depict a thin stem and graceful leaves. Thorns and veins on the leaves are denoted by a darker shade of green.

Draw the stem and leaves in different shades of green

  4. Next, we make the bud more voluminous: we mark the borders of the petals with a light pink color.

We decorate the petals in the bud with a pale pink color

  5. The final stage of the drawing is work on the background. Let's create beautiful overflows with the help of green strokes of a dark and light shade.

Strokes of light and dark green will make the background more expressive

Features of watercolor painting

Painting with watercolors is a more responsible job, since the flaws will already be obvious. But this technique allows you to create delicate and sophisticated flower arrangements. After some practice, the student will be able to draw quite realistic roses, from which it seems to breathe freshness.

First, again, a pencil sketch is made. At the same time, the drawing should be slightly noticeable (no need to put pressure on the tool). Then comes the watercolor. We must wash the paint with water: it should be almost transparent, without a pronounced color. When painting a bud, it is better to use several shades to make the rose look natural.

It is better to fix the paper with tape or buttons: when it gets wet and then dries, ugly waves can form.

Let's consider a specific example.

  1. The first stage is a pencil sketch of a rose.

Pencil sketch lines should be thin and soft.

  2. Raspberry paint is strongly diluted with water and applied with a thick brush to the surface of the bud. We mark the lower part of it with light green watercolor (also very diluted).

The bud is painted with highly diluted raspberry paint

  3. When the initial layer dries, the edges of the petals are shaded with paints of warm tones. The background is indicated by a dark cold tone (for example, purple). This will visually make the rose brighter. In this case, the light parts of the rose are shaded in a dark tone, and the dark parts, respectively, in a light tone. Color heterogeneity is only welcome: the image will be more natural. To indicate the veins on the petals, you need a thin brush. She is working on the base and the middle of the bud. It is important not to overdo it with dark shades, otherwise the pattern may become “cartoonish”.

Gouache flowers in stages for children from 5 years old. Master class with step by step photo

Master class in gouache painting from 5 years old "Decorative composition Flowers". Introduction to gouache

Author: Natalya Alexandrovna Ermakova, Lecturer, Municipal Budgetary Educational Institution of Additional Education for Children "Children's Art School named after A. A. Bolshakov", Velikiye Luki, Pskov Region.
Description: the master class is intended for children from 5 years old and their parents, educators, teachers of additional education.
Purpose: interior decoration, gift, drawing for exhibitions and competitions.
Target: creation of a decorative composition "Flowers" in gouache technique.
Tasks:
- to introduce children to the features of gouache, technique and methods of working with paints, their distinctive features from watercolor.
-teach different ways gouache works: applying a stroke, using a palette, working with several colors at the same time;
- to promote the development of observation, logical thinking, the ability to analyze, draw conclusions;
-to cultivate interest in working in the gouache technique, the ability to apply the acquired knowledge in practical work.

Hello dear guests! Today we will talk about gouache, gouache is the most affordable and easy to use material. Gouache is widely used in fine arts, as with the help of this material the student easily absorbs the basics of artistic craft.
The term "gouache" originally originated in 18th century France, although the technique for creating this paint is much older - it was used in Europe in the Middle Ages. Book miniatures were already made in gouache in the Middle Ages, usually in combination with watercolor. During the Renaissance, artists used the gouache technique for sketches, cardboard and other preparatory work, as well as for portrait miniatures. For the first time, a combination of two techniques, working in watercolor with the addition of white, was used by the 16th-century mannerist artist Paolo Pino.
Artist Carlos Prunel, "Carnival" series.

The heyday of gouache technique falls on the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries. In Russia, the artists of the association "World of Art" painted large easel works with gouache, sketches of theatrical scenery, costumes, posters, using its decorative qualities. Works of art made with gouache are also called gouache.
Artists who have mastered this "frivolous" material to perfection create wonderful, elegant, uniquely velvety works. Especially wonderful, with the help of gouache, it is possible to convey the unique atmosphere of evening twilight and foggy pre-dawn landscapes.

Basically, gouache is an opaque watercolor. Gouache is a universal artistic material that allows, having paints, water and paper, to master the artistic techniques inherent in other materials. You can paint with heavily diluted gouache in watercolor, or you can master the painting techniques inherent in noble oil. Drawing with gouache is comfortable, it does not have an unpleasant odor, does not require working with solvents, makes it easy to make changes to the drawing and does not require any special surface for drawing (canvases, primers). That is why it is very popular in children's art and is widely used by novice artists. Each of us painted gouache, it is suitable for both beginners and professionals.
Many consider gouache not convenient for drawing. If you have previously painted mainly in watercolor, then you need to remember just a few rules in order to get the same wonderful result when working with gouache.
Gouache paint is not transparent and contains white. This means that you need to write from dark to light, and not vice versa. That is, having decided on the composition and color scheme, you need to start with darker tones of paint, and highlights and dark color accents are placed at the end of the work.

In order not to get confused about the possibility of mixing colors and shades, and not to mess up with the color for the shadows, it is better to have an idea of the color wheel that artists use. Colors lying in neighboring sectors of the circle mix with each other without the formation of dirt, and for shadows it is better to take a color from the opposite sector. This color is added in the required amount to the main tone. More often, for the image of the shadow, they take: blue, green or purple. Under no circumstances should black be added to the shadow image. Also, you cannot use black to get a darker tone of the same color, you will not darken the tone, but you will get dirt.

Among other things, you should know that gouache dries quickly enough. If you make a mistake, then you can not correct it until the gouache has dried out. In case of violation of this rule, you will get a smeared dirty spot. You need to make changes and corrections to the drawing after waiting for the gouache layer to dry completely. Usually the drying time depends on the thickness of the gouache layer, it varies from 30 minutes to 3 hours. When the gouache has dried, it is very easy to make changes. You just need to moisten the brush in warm and pigment-free water, lightly wring it out with a dry cloth and wipe off the paint in the place of the mistake with a light movement. In the same way, you can shade an overly clear outline of a drawn object.
When mixing colors, you need to take into account that wet gouache is brighter. When it dries, it becomes white due to the presence of chalk in it. Therefore, colors should always be chosen more saturated than those that you want to see in the final work.

Right choice brushes will also help to facilitate acquaintance with this artistic material. Since gouache is heavier and more viscous, too soft brushes are not suitable for it, so it is better to put aside a light squirrel. For wet gouache, well suited: columns, goat and synthetics. These brushes are great for shading, backgrounds and fills, that is, for working with a wet brush.

There are techniques in painting that are suitable for working with a dry brush. How to draw in gouache images of tree crowns, grassy backgrounds, objects with an uneven or textured surface? In this case, it is better to use bristle brushes. The shape of the brushes will depend on the shape of the strokes. It is better to depict the grass with flat brushes, and the crown of trees with round ones. In this case, gouache diluted to the density of sour cream is collected on a dry brush made of hog bristles and point strokes are made with the brush on the working surface of the picture. It can be compared to stuffing paint on a work surface.

There are two ways to create a background for gouache:
Uniform shading of the contours of a pencil sketch. First, the artist makes a pencil sketch on the art surface, and then spreads the primary colors as fills for the outlines of the drawing. It is important to remember here that for the initial underpainting, the darkest tones of the drawing elements are taken. In order for the gouache to lay flat and without streaks, you need to pay attention to the size of the brush. The larger the outline to be painted, the larger the brush should be. Gouache, in this case, should be diluted to the consistency of thin sour cream. It’s also not worth picking up too much pigment on the brush; it’s better to wipe off the excess on the edge of the palette. You need to fill the contour without pressure, from one of its edges to the center, and then from the center to the other edge of the contour. This type of underpainting is not suitable for large surfaces.

For surfaces big size another type of staining is selected - filling. In this case, the background of the drawing is first made, and then, on a dried background, the work itself is written. The background may consist of two or three primary colors in the range of the pattern. For example, when painting a landscape, they take: the color of the sky, the color of the earth, the color for the light strip above the horizon. A sheet of paper is well attached to the tablet, it is better to glue all the edges with masking tape. Then they spread the colors: the color of the sky at the top, the color of the earth below, the lightest in the horizon. And then, until the paint is dry, smooth the paint with a wide wet brush. The brush must be carried without interruption, from one left edge of the sheet to the right, moving from the bottom of the work to the top. Then we wet the brush in water, shake off the excess, and smooth the paint from the top of the sheet to the bottom, moving the brush horizontally. In order for the background to turn out to be even and beautiful, training is needed. However, the result is worth the effort. When the background is smoothed out and the paint is still wet, the details of the hills are blown in with the darker paint chosen for the ground. After drying the main background and the formed details of the landscape, they write vegetation, clouds and other details of the intended composition.

Gouache painting is original and requires special skills to obtain masterpieces. The main property in working with gouache is lightening: until the paint has dried, the color is saturated and it is easy to play with shades, but as soon as it has dried, many colors cannot be distinguished from each other. A clear intuitive understanding of the final result comes only with experience. And here it can be good advice not to use white at all until the very final layer. Another problem is the easy mixing of the layers with each other, which makes you act quickly and correctly, if you start waving the brush, you mix two layers and you get dirt. But in any case, painting has its own charm, this is manifested in the competent use of whitishness and stroke.

In artistic and design work, gouache is one of the favorites. There are large jars of different colors, designed for large-scale design work. The quick creation of scenery, banners and wall newspapers is all about gouache. A small problem can be the low strength of the ink film, and as a result, the finished image will crumble and get dirty. But this is easily solved by mixing a small amount of glue into the paint and fixing the paint with an additional layer of varnish.

Gouache is very often used in painting on wood, birch bark and clay. Here it is important to pay attention to the quality of paints, since painting is quite petty work in one stroke and does not allow corrections. Gouache dries quickly, which is a key aspect of fast decoration and ease of layering.

Master class progress:

Starting work on any drawing, you need to remember the main rules for constructing a composition. You need to try to draw in the middle so that everything that is planned fits on the whole piece of paper, so that there is very little empty space left on top, bottom and sides. So that the drawing does not turn out to be too large or too small compared to the sheet. To do this, we will use the auxiliary lines of the "auxiliary", draw diagonal lines on the sheet and thereby find its middle. When drawing with a simple pencil, you need to remember that the lines should be light, barely noticeable.

Then draw the lines of the frame inside the work, it will become the border of the picture. Draw a circle in the center, this will be the central flower of our composition.

On the diagonal lines to the frame, draw the leaves, then erase the "auxiliaries".

Next, around the central circle, draw more circles, create a future bouquet.

Let's start working with gouache. We choose the lightest shade of green gouache, draw circles of flowers with a thin brush.

First, a contour is outlined, then we make strokes towards the edges of the work, as if the blades of grass are looking in different directions.

Change the paint to a dark green color and continue to apply strokes in the same direction around the flowers.

Next, we work with the palette, we will mix green with yellow paint to get a light green color.

With the resulting color, also with small strokes (like blades of grass), we paint over the rest of the surface of the work.

We use the same color for the leaves.
