Boarding house for troubled teenagers with training. Different boarding schools for different children

In single-sex schools, education is conducted in small classes. Here is the highest percentage of the ratio of the number of teachers to the number of students. Programs are read to girls high school, language programs and prepare for university. There are compulsory subjects and a number of disciplines to choose from.

Private boarding schools for girls combine an individual approach with rules for raising young ladies. Students of such institutions more often become leaders, and it is easier for them to achieve success in their chosen profession. To achieve maximum academic performance, both traditional and modern methods training. For example, the Swiss school is a member of the Bellevue Education association of schools, where an impressive part of the investment goes to modern equipment and the best teachers.

The result is serious academic achievements. Thus, in 2016, 64% of British school students passed the GCSE secondary school exam with the highest scores A*/A. Also, the authoritative publication The Times noted the outstanding results of schoolgirls from.

It is not customary to talk about this out loud, and boarding schools for troubled teenagers in Moscow are usually located on the outskirts. These are gloomy gray buildings that look more like a prison than a school. Such schools are avoided, they frighten naughty children, and, in general, there is something to be done.

Almost 88% of teenagers soon end up in prison after graduating from boarding school. A bleak prospect?

Many people mistakenly believe that difficult teenagers are the children of alcoholics, drug addicts, and other marginalized people. Separately, there are children from prosperous families, whose parents “lost” their children in pursuit of financial well-being. Few people know that the cause of deviant behavior in adolescents can be hereditary anomalies, birth trauma, intrauterine infection, and many other reasons for which the parents are not to blame or it is too indirect.

Often, a teenager entering puberty exhausts his parents so much that they are ready for anything, even special measures. school, just to save the child or take a break from this hell at least a little. But try to find such an establishment. Immediately you will be accused of improper upbringing and of looking for an easy solution. This decision is not simple and sometimes it is the only one for both parents and child.

Where to send a difficult child?

How to determine that a child is “difficult”? Problems do not begin overnight, but parents stubbornly try not to notice that the child has gone in the wrong direction. At first, these are lies, petty theft, absenteeism from school and conflicts with classmates. Someone says: well, it’s okay, we all went through it, and now we’ve grown normal people. This may be so, but if the child does not outgrow it, and runs away from home, alcohol, drugs and aggressive behavior? The child needs to be saved, and preferably until he is registered as a “difficult child” or sent to a closed boarding school, which is more like a prison than a school.

Unfortunately, there are not many places where today you can send a child for re-education. First of all, these are cadet schools. As a rule, in such schools there is iron discipline, order, and sometimes the children do correct themselves. But is it so easy to get into cadet school? They take only healthy children, without mental problems or behavioral disorders. There is no warden and it is an open school with regular day attendance. Will the child go there or will he have to be led by the hand and fight with him again?

Under what conditions can you send your child to a boarding school?

If the child is completely out of control, the parents no longer have a question about how to enroll their child in a boarding school in Moscow.

Children are sent to a boarding school for troubled teenagers by court decision, and nothing depends on the will of the parents. Children end up in such institutions if they commit a crime, and they serve their sentence there, finishing school at the same time.

The only school in Moscow for troubled teenagers is the “Chance” school. This school is attended by children convicted, including for murder, but, apparently, correction does not happen this way. The school has established procedures, as in adult zone with its hierarchy, and no one wants to change anything. Parents are scared for their children, the education department doesn’t want to wash their dirty laundry in public, and children are forced to survive within the walls of the school, just like in prison. By default, in Russia there is no problem with children, and parents are to blame for everything.
There are no other boarding schools for troubled teenagers in Moscow.

What kind of children are taken to boarding school?

To save the child, parents face a long and shameful path, which not many dare to take. Not everyone can admit that you have failed as a parent, and many give up, but that’s how the system is built. You can’t just walk into a boarding school and ask to take your child for re-education. First you need to go to a psychologist to get his opinion.

The second step is a visit to the district education department, which will most likely refer parents to the commission on juvenile affairs. After enduring a lecture from all officials and their contemptuous and condemning glances, parents will receive a referral to study at an open or closed boarding school, depending on the child’s behavior.

In fact, there are not many municipal residential boarding schools for troubled teenagers in Moscow. Eat correctional schools, which come in eight types. They educate children with various physical disabilities, from visually impaired to mentally retarded. They just won’t accept a difficult teenager to study at a boarding school with delayed children speech development, or cerebral palsy.

Often parents have to knock on all doors, but only receive fines for unscrupulous upbringing of the child and condemnation from society.

The only option is to get a referral to a cadet boarding school or sports boarding school. In most cases, boarding schools have a narrow focus. A school with in-depth study of mathematics, Chinese, dancing, sports, but it needs motivated children with certain talents. No one will work with the child and no one will correct him if he does not want it himself. Even if by some miracle a child is placed there, he can always be expelled for violating school rules.

Is it possible to send a child to a boarding school for a while?

It is a difficult decision to send a child to a boarding school temporarily, but perhaps it is the only one. The child needs to be shown what “not a family” is, and during this time the parents can restore their nerves and take a break. Sometimes, after 2-3 weeks, children improve and ask to go home, and they really do improve. Having lived for some time without his parents, and having learned that no one cares about his hysterics and desires, just like himself, the child begins to appreciate the care and love of his parents. You can also send your child to a boarding school in case of severe life situation when parents cannot take care of him for health reasons or other reasons.

A child can be enrolled in a boarding school for a period of 3 months to a year, with permanent residence in the boarding school. Parents can visit their child on weekends, and good behavior, the pupil may be sent home on holidays or on weekends.

To register a child in a boarding school, without depriving parental rights, you should contact the local guardianship and trusteeship authorities (TCA) with a written application. A kind of agreement is concluded between the PLO and the parents regarding visits to the child, the duration of his stay, and other conditions are negotiated. This agreement must be observed in order to be able to pick up your child without unnecessary paperwork.

Despite the fact that there are practically no municipal residential boarding schools for troubled teenagers in Moscow, there are a lot of private rehabilitation centers. They offer treatment for drug addiction, alcoholism, sessions with a psychologist and motivate the child to lead a normal life. Prices in such centers are different, and not for every budget.

Among state institutions, we can note the State Public Institution SRC “Altufyevo” and the State Institution SRC “Vozrozhdenie”. This is emergency assistance in case of frequent escapes of a child or his rehabilitation due to falling into “bad company” and acquiring bad habits. Let me make a reservation right away that applying to this center automatically registers the family as “socially disadvantaged,” which does not happen when applying to a private center.

Children are our everything, and excessive parental love sometimes prevents us from looking at our child’s behavior with a sober look. It is possible not to notice the misdeeds of your children only for a certain time, but during this time he develops impunity, permissiveness and bad habits are reinforced. The sooner you pull a child out of this state, the easier his rehabilitation will be.

Take care of yourself and your children and don’t be afraid of society’s condemnation. Everyone has the right to make a mistake, but you need to correct it in time.

If you want your child to grow up as a strong and comprehensively developed personality, with good upbringing and a tempered character, without bad habits, take a closer look at cadet schools. The purpose of cadet education is to educate a patriotic, disciplined person.

Education in cadet corps differs significantly from regular general education. In addition to compulsory subjects, children study military history, the basics of military affairs, and undergo intensive physical training. The school day here lasts longer, and the teachers do not make any concessions to the children. Another significant difference is the strictest discipline. Pupils wear a special uniform, often walk in formation, and salute their senior ranks. During the holidays, children participate in competitions, cultural and excursion events.

Types of cadet schools

Cadet corps can be supervised by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the FSB and organizations subordinate to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. In such institutions there is military discipline: permanent residence, dismissals strictly on weekends and holidays. The daily routine is carefully planned; the pupils practically have no free time. It’s difficult to enter here, and it’s not easy to study! Therefore, most often here you can meet children who in the future plan to enter the internal affairs bodies or military service.

There are also cadet schools established by the Moscow Department of Education. Only children with Moscow registration can enroll in them. Many of these schools also operate as boarding schools, but getting fired is much easier here.

Admission conditions

The cadet corps accepts children who are fit for health reasons (the list of contraindications is set out in Appendix 3 to Order No. 473 of October 16, 2002 of the Moscow Health Committee) and who want to study. To be admitted, you must submit an application to the Admissions Committee at deadlines and attach the package necessary documents(indicated on the website educational institution), undergo diagnostics at the Moscow Central Educational Center in the following subjects: Russian language, mathematics, English language, and a medical commission. In addition, candidates for admission undergo testing for their level of physical fitness and an interview with a psychologist. Based on the results of the activities carried out Selection committee, taking into account the state of health, motivation, the presence of additional achievements (awards received for participation in creative and sporting events), level of physical fitness and academic performance, makes a decision. In this case, candidates referred for targeted recruitment have priority for admission. Also, upon admission, orphans and children of military personnel enjoy benefits.

There are age restrictions when enrolling in cadet school. Children are not taken here, with rare exceptions. It’s too late to think about entering high school, since the training program is designed for a certain period, at least 3 years. The ideal time to enroll is at the end of primary school.

Adolescence begins when the child crosses the border of ten or eleven years, and continues until the age of 15-16. During this period, the child begins to perceive the world as an adult, model the behavior of elders, and draw conclusions independently. The child develops a personal opinion and seeks his place in society. Interest in the inner world is also increasing. A teenager knows how to set goals and achieve them.

In addition to psychological changes, physiological changes occur during this period of time: secondary sexual characteristics appear, changes hormonal background and so on.

Teenage problems

Problems arise in teenagers for various reasons. But the basis can be based on the following internal conflicts:

  1. The desire to become an adult, while denying the value guidelines by which adults live.
  2. The feeling of being at the center of the Universe and the rejection of this by others.
  3. Puberty and fear of the new self.
  4. Attraction to teenagers of the opposite sex and inability to build relationships with peers.

As a result, it is difficult for a teenager to cope with new violent emotions, and parents should always be ready to support the child in a timely manner or give advice. If in adolescence, in addition to difficulties with changing the body, he is also beset by others, for example, low parental culture, alcoholism in the family, parents being busy with their own affairs or work, then such a person may fall into the category of “difficult”. For such people there are boarding schools for difficult teenagers.

How is the educational process organized in boarding schools?

Usually, special boarding schools for troubled teenagers end up with children with serious learning problems or those who have broken the law more than once. To cope with special needs, therefore, teachers with extensive experience, defectologists and psychologists carry out their activities in these educational institutions.

Often in the state teaching staff there are also people with medical education. Iron discipline is the basis of education in a boarding school for difficult teenagers. The main goal is to return the child to a normal worldview and life.

First, the pupils' level of knowledge and intellectual abilities are checked. The verification takes place in the form of testing. If the results reveal a developmental delay, the boy or girl can even be taught a primary school curriculum.

The behavior of difficult teenagers is based on violations psychological development, so students from a boarding school for difficult children constantly communicate with a psychologist. Such conversations take place individually. Based on the results, the specialist tries to find the basis - the reason for such behavior of the student.

In a boarding school for troubled teenagers, all children are constantly under the supervision of a teacher, and on Saturday and Sunday they have the right to go to their parents, although some stay on weekends.

Closed and open boarding schools

These establishments are of open and closed type. The first of them are similar to cadet corps or Suvorov schools. There is discipline and a daily routine, but children study according to the standard school curriculum (adjusted for mental abilities, of course), and can go to their parents on weekends. In closed boarding schools, everything is much more serious - there are checkpoints, marching in formation, and regular classes with a psychologist. Some pupils in such institutions do not go home on weekends, but parents can visit them on the territory of the boarding school.

Reasons to send a teenager to a boarding school for difficult children

The reasons for going to a special school are as follows:

  • committing a crime if the age does not correspond to the onset of criminal liability;
  • the age corresponds to criminal liability, but the child is lagging behind in mental development;
  • the teenager was convicted under articles providing for a crime of average gravity, but was released from punishment under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

The Commission on Juvenile Affairs petitions the court to send the offender to special boarding school for troubled teenagers. Before the case is heard in court, the minor is given a medical examination and referred to a psychiatrist. If the parents do not agree to these measures, all procedures are carried out by court decision.

Temporary detention centers

Before the court hearing, the child may be sent to a temporary detention center for up to 30 days. This happens in the following cases:

  • when the life or health of a teenager must be protected;
  • it is necessary to prevent repeated socially dangerous acts;
  • if the child has nowhere to live;
  • the offender refuses to appear in court or fails to undergo a medical examination.

Boarding schools in St. Petersburg and Moscow

The most famous boarding institution for troubled teenagers (St. Petersburg) is closed school No. 1. The establishment dates back to 1965. It is located on Akkuratova Street at number 11. This is a closed boarding school for difficult teenagers, which means that children come here by court decision. There is iron discipline, movement around the perimeter and checkpoints at the entrance.

There is a boarding school for troubled teenagers in Moscow. Institution No. 9 is located on Zhigulenkov Boris Street in building 15, building 1. Unlike the St. Petersburg boarding school, this boarding school is open-type. Here children from deviant behavior They can also be admitted by the decision of parents or the recommendation of a special commission. The rules here are not as strict as in closed institutions.

Can troubled teenagers be re-educated?

It must be said that every difficult teenager has different problems. Sometimes it takes only one month to teach a child to be responsible for his actions, and sometimes it takes a teenager six months to adapt. Much depends on what psychological problems the person is experiencing. this moment boy or girl.

Now teachers are arguing about whether working in boarding schools for troubled teenagers is producing results. At the moment, about seventy percent of students in such institutions significantly improve their knowledge in school subjects. In addition, pupils not only study in such institutions, but also stay the rest of the time. Thus, problem children create new ones and are more successfully socialized in society.

What should parents of difficult teenagers pay attention to?

They defend their independence. This phenomenon affects the child and he seems to behave strangely and unpredictably. Be that as it may, this condition is considered absolutely normal and characterizes adolescence.

Parents of difficult children often face other challenges. A young man or girl develops emotional and psychological problems and learning difficulties. A troubled teenager often commits illegal acts and unjustifiably risky actions. Depression and anxiety may appear.

There are signs that your child is difficult. They are listed below:

  1. Change in appearance. Unjustified weight gain or loss, self-harm.
  2. Frequent quarrels, fights, complaints.
  3. Poor academic performance, sleep disturbances, depression, thoughts of suicide.
  4. Use of drugs, alcohol.
  5. A sharp change in social circle, refusal to follow certain rules, lies, and so on.

The presence of problems in a teenager is the first signal that you need to establish contact with him. Your son or daughter should feel supported and understand that his parents love and accept him in any case. It's important to find common topics for conversations, encourage exercise, limit TV viewing and computer activities. Give your child advice, listen to him, do not show aggression. If you can't cope, seek help from specialists.

There were many options: “inferior”, “mentally retarded”, “lonely”, “sad”, “unhappy”, “destitute”, etc. Only one girl stood out from the crowd with statements: “brilliant,” “gifted,” “special.” During the discussion, it turned out that she herself studied in a specialized mathematical boarding school.

Obviously, most of the answers were associated with boarding schools for orphans, children with mental disabilities and children with serious health problems: the hearing impaired, the visually impaired, and those with cerebral palsy.

But this opinion is wrong. Quite healthy, financially secure, intelligent and talented schoolchildren also study in boarding schools. Why there and not in a regular school? The point is a special form of education, which distinguishes boarding schools - the child spends here not only days, but also nights. Looks like a five-day week kindergarten: Parents bring their son or daughter to school on Monday and pick them up on Friday evening. You can also stay there for the weekend. The reasons for such a study schedule are different. And there are several types of boarding schools.

For the rich and busy - private boarding schools

One of them is private boarding schools. They are very reminiscent of the “closed” boarding schools that existed in Soviet times. Access there was closed to mere mortals; the student population consisted of children of diplomats and other specialists working abroad. Not all countries had their own schools at the USSR embassy, and going to local educational institutions was prohibited for ideological reasons. So the parents left the children school age in Russia. In the absence of caring grandparents, the children ended up in a special boarding school.

If funds allow, any child can be enrolled in modern boarding schools. There are plenty of busy dads and moms earning money 24/7 today. Parents simply physically do not have the time or energy to give their child due attention. And in a private boarding school, the child is supervised, grows up, and studies in good, almost home-like conditions. Children whose parents live in another city or country also often study in boarding schools.

There are no special innovations in the routine. During the day - lessons. After lunch - rest, walks, excursions, visiting clubs, sports sections. Possible additional classes and specialized training - foreign languages, legal or economic cycle, mathematical and natural science specialization, etc.

How to get there?

You need to conclude an agreement with the school and pay for your stay at the boarding house. Some private institutions provide subject testing. It is especially common among high school students: the school takes upon itself the obligation to enter a university. Therefore, children are selected whose knowledge base will allow them to quickly prepare them for the declared institute. But if a tenth grade student is still at odds with , then even the most ingenious preparation will not “reach” him in a year to the level of the Faculty of Economics or Mechanics and Mathematics of Moscow State University.

“Brilliant”, “gifted”, “special” - remember the epithets mentioned at the beginning? It is for such children that boarding schools with special educational conditions have been created. However, since 1988, many of them have been renamed specialized educational and scientific centers (STSC). In each class of such a boarding school there are several winners of Russian educational Olympiads; most of the graduates enter the “difficult” faculties of the supervising universities. The most famous institution of physics, mathematics and chemistry is the A.N. Kolmogorov School at Moscow State University. M.V. Lomonosov.

You can be talented, especially gifted, not only in mathematics, physics, etc. This group of boarding schools also includes sports and choreography schools.

The class schedule is different from the usual - there are special programs here. Lessons do not end, say, exactly at one o'clock, but may continue with breaks in the afternoon. And in Olympic reserve schools, children train almost the whole day before major competitions. The kids go to their parents for the holidays. The rest of the time is spent within the walls of the boarding school.

The boarding schools “for smart people and smart girls” recruit students from all over the country: not only Moscow is rich in talent. For example, the same School A.N. Kolmogorov accepts young Russian citizens into the tenth and eleventh grades, regardless of their place of residence.

Formally, any specialized boarding school provides general secondary education. In fact, often all efforts are aimed at developing children according to their profile. It is no secret that most graduates of sports boarding schools are not strong in mathematics and literature. Teachers advise sending to specialized boarding schools only those children whose future will definitely be connected with a specific direction. After ballet school, only a few manage to enroll in a regular university. If for some reason: illness, loss of physical shape, etc., a ballet career does not work out, the young talent goes “nowhere”. It is very difficult to adapt to ordinary life, hence many broken destinies.

How to get there?

Pass the entrance tests. Children in sports boarding schools are usually recruited from among secondary school students who study in sports clubs.

Not only good physical data is required, but also experience in a particular sport. The highest level is the Olympic reserve schools, where they train professional athletes. You will have to fight for the right to become a student at such an institution. Especially if the choice fell on mass appearance sports - football, hockey, gymnastics, volleyball or basketball. Only those who can realistically rise to the level of the youth team and higher are accepted.

To enter the department of choreographic art of the Moscow state academy choreography, you need to pass a creative competition. Students are admitted to the secondary school at the Moscow State Academy of Arts from the age of ten. In the future, there is an opportunity to receive specialized secondary and higher education.

Boarding schools specialized in school subjects conduct entrance exams during summer holidays so that nonresident applicants can come. At the A.N. Kolmogorov School there is an opportunity to test their knowledge - non-residents can take trial correspondence exams. To do this, just download problems from the Internet, solve them and send them to the address. The exam results are posted on the school website. Opposite each name is the number of points scored. True, the correspondence tour does not have legal force: in order to become a student of the School, you need to pass face-to-face tests.

The maximum task of another special group of boarding schools is to train the elite of the country's Armed Forces. These include military boarding schools: cadet corps, Suvorov and Nakhimov schools, etc. Children live and study here with full government support. In the future, without exams, they will enter military universities. However, it is not at all a fact that upon graduation from corps and schools, only one path is open to their students - to the army. You can, for example, become a student at the Faculty of Journalism or Law at a military institute.

Duration of training - 2 years (after ninth grade), 3 (after eighth grade) or 7 years. The youngest Suvorov students are graduates of the 4th grade of secondary schools. The age of applicants must not exceed 11 years.

Suvorov and Nakhimov students receive general education and basic military training (sometimes according to the branch of service). They are required to study a foreign language in an in-depth program.

But in military boarding schools there is a strict selection based on physical and intellectual characteristics. So, for example, in order to obtain admission to the entrance exams to the First Cadet Corps of the Federal Border Guard Service of Russia, the average certificate score for grade 9 must be at least 4.

How to get there?

Familiarize yourself with the admission rules. They are the same for all educational institutions of this type. It is also necessary to provide a certificate of academic achievement from the school, or a certificate of nine-year education. Pass a medical examination, professional psychological testing and a physical fitness test.

Then follow general education exams: mathematics, Russian and foreign languages.

Children of military personnel who served at least 20 years in the ranks of the Armed Forces, provided successful completion exams are enrolled out of competition.

Orphans are admitted without exams, after a medical commission and psychological testing.

Who is boarding school suitable for?

K. I. Razumov, specialist in child and adolescent psychology:

“No matter what your family circumstances are, do not rush to send your child to a boarding school. At a minimum, you need to have him tested by a good psychologist. Or consult with teachers.

Children perceive separation from their parents differently. Some adapt almost immediately, make new friends, and actively participate in school life.

Others live with the feeling that their loved ones have betrayed them and left them to their fate. Moreover, this reaction occurs more often in truly talented children. Many of them are very vulnerable.

A good option is to send your child to a camp or forest school for the summer. Let him try to cope without his parents.

And under no circumstances make the decision to transfer to a boarding school on your own! Even if you are sure that a new form of education opens up enormous opportunities for your child. Explain your position to him. And give the student the right to choose."

Parent's notebook

The head of the press service of the Moscow Department of Education, A.V. Gavrilov, answers the questions.

What should parents do if the teacher hints at a monetary reward for a good grade in a quarter or half a year? What to do if the administration educational institution regularly, once a month, requires parents to contribute fairly large sums to the needs of the school?
